Many thanks for taking the lovely lass on board Lara.
Hope your boys enjoy having her as a pack member while she's looking for her forever home.

So we are a few days in with Georgie. A couple of things are clear, Georgie is a ladies dog. Wary of men for sure so in the past something has gone on . She also loves cuddles and sofa time. Very quickly she was up and and resting her head up on my shoulder. She has been fine with all dogs out on walks but in the house has made it clear to Riley and Dougie that when she is on the sofa having her cuddles that she wants to keep it that way, just her! She will make a fabulous companion and will connect very quickly. She loves her food and has been clean in the house. She has been in a crate overnight and is fine in that. Bit of separation whinging initially but she settles down. She is now out of the travel crate in the car and is jumping in and out of the boot to go for walks no problem. Ive also left her in the crate while Ive gone out for max 2 hours without a problem. I think she will be fine in the house soon, without the crate. Ive had her out in enclosed parks for walks and left a long line on her as her recall needs work but as she bonds it will be easier. She is fast! Having said that, she did return to me most of the time but need to keep working on it and certainly wouldn't let her off in an unfenced location yet. She plays confidently with Dougie and was polite to the other dogs being walked. More soon.

Excellent. Very pleased that this girl is in. Thank you Lara. It looks like it won't be long before she comes out of her shell and starts showing her personality.

She’s doing really well thanks to you Lara. She still needs someone to take over the fostering before Easter and it looks like she’s going to be a nice fostering opportunity for someone

What a soppy girl! She honestly can't get enough attention and when you stop, she puts her paw on you to ask for more and turns her big brown eyes on you. She had two good runs today. I think she might have Labrador in there somewhere as she spends a lot of time with her nose to the ground. Birds are definitely her 'thing'. Loves chasing crows off the ground and showed a lot of interest in the ducks and geese being fed along The Thames. Not afraid of water either and happy to paddle at the edge. Worked on sit and leave it today and introduced the whistle to help improve her recall. She is a very kind girl and will thrive with the right person. She has a natural inclination to be happy and its coming out more and more. We are heading to socialisation classes tomorrow so will report back after that. I've attached a quick video of her playing with Riley - he is vocal one!

A kind friend of mine is looking after Georgie while I am away over Easter. I only dropped her off this morning and I think its safe to say that she has settled in. My friend is sending me updates and attach some photos of her on her favourite place - the sofa. Georgie has been to the local dog park and met another rescue dog and they had a fab time. She came back to the whistle and treats without a problem. Bodes very well for a forever home that she is unphased by being in another house. Last night, as Riley was at my sisters, I let Georgie up to sleep in my room. Being on her bed lasted about 1 minute then she was on mine and a total and utter cuddle girlie. She just wants to be near you.
