Pretty girl. My dogs think 6 is a good time to get up! Even when the clocks change, they change straight away! I think they have an alarm clock hidden away. Glad Molly has settled in. Welcome to the forum Jackie 😊

Molly is still up for adoption . Through no fault of Jackie. Molly has a chase instinct for Deer and if she gets a whiff whilst off lead she is off. Jackie likes to ride and wanted a dog to jog alongside the horse, so this would be a stressful rather than good walk for her.
Jackie thinks that she would excel at Agility, she is so trainable and wanting to please. Also, perhaps a home with beach walks or an urban area. Jackie is willing to keep hold of Molly until she is rehomed as she says she is such a lovable doglet. x

A shame for Jackie, but I'm sure there will be no shortage of applicants for Molly.

A shame. Although good that Jackie can continue to provide a foster home. Molly is a beautiful hound and I expect she won't be waiting long for a forever home.

Hello everyone. Molly is an absolute delight. Intelligent and a quick learner. In the short time I've had her she's settled in very nicely. Unfortunately her hunting instinct is highly tuned and so would be better off in a less rural environment. She is still very puppy like in her behaviour and I'm working with her to stop her jumping up when greeting new people in the home.
She is house trained and not destructive. Enjoys ball games and I've started to teach her to catch a frisbee. She'll make someone a wonderful and loyal pet. This is an extremely sad decision to relinquish my fostership

Don't lose hope Jackie.....there are lurchers out there with very little prey drive. My Hamish is one......all play-drive, no prey-drive!

Thank you Jackie for helping Milly on her journey to a new life. It’s a shame she’s not going to be right for you but she’ll learn a lot from you and I’m sure the right dog is out there for you.

Molly is being assessed next week by an experienced dog behaviourist and trainer. This will give us an idea whether we will be able to rein in Molly's high prey drive. She is now off lead in a muzzle running free in the New Forest where there are no deer! she is still an extremely exuberant young lady wanting to play with every dog she meets. When there are no distractions her recall is now quite good.

Errrm not sure Molly will be going anywhere! Whistles!!!!! For a few moments until I read the next post I thought Robin having met Molly when you delivered the crate had succumbed to her charms and finally agreed to a second hound!! Best wishes for the assessment Jackie. Where a hound has burrowed its way into your heart there is generally a 'way'. x

Ha ha she's certainly doing her best to stay put in Fordingbridge. However it doesn't stop her from possibly being the naughtiest lurcher in UK!
