What is known about her lineage? Is she likely to stay smooth or become rough-coated as she grows? She looks like she's a smooth coat and will stay smooth, but her foster mum will be able to confirm this.

We have decided to call this gorgeous pup Issy. Today we went to the vets for a health check, to be weighed, scan her microchip and have her second vaccinations. She didn't really want to get in the car but once in she was fine. Everyone LOVED her at the vets, the vet that saw her is a real lurcher lover. She checked her eyes, ears, heart and all are just fine. Then she gave her the injection with the tiniest needle........ OH MY GOODNESS .........I have heard crying but this a new level. Even after when she was given treats she was still crying, ears right back and tail between the legs.
She has settled really well at home. The only issue is Dotty, she has really put her in her place a few times. Today she caught her on the nose, poor little Issy. They have been playing too. She eats her food well, but not greedy. Will try to sneak a bit of Paddy or Dottys when she can. She loves people and all other dogs she's seen. We have been to my brothers who have 2 dogs and a huge garden, they had great fun. We had a few friends round on New Year's Eve and she was loved by everyone.
She goes in a cage at night, the first few nights she cried a bit but is much better now. We still have some accidents if we miss her going to the door.
She is such a little poppet

Awww. Issy must be part greyhound to have that response to an injection? Reminds me of my late greyhound, who used to emit the greyhound scream of death whatever the size of needle. She sat down and screeched for what felt like minutes, probably 30-60 seconds only, one time and refused to accept a treat from the vet after which was unheard of. Heaven knows what anyone in the Waiting Room unacquainted with the sometimes dramatic sighthound responses thought! Poignant memories. xx

Issy has a bit of a poorly tummy. She has had me up at 4am the last 2 nights because she had an accident in her cage. We have given her prokilin and put her on chicken and rice. We'll see how she is tonight. She is still playing and Barking at Paddy though. She is getting used to the lead and is enjoying going for walks. She is a bit nervous when cars go past but I'm sure she will get used to them. For a youngster she is quite good on the lead but she will jump back if she thinks she will get stood on.
She is loving playing with Dotty in the park ( on a long Lead) even if Dotty gets a bit rough. I will try and post some photos, fingers crossed.

She is definitely whippet X. She is delicate, super small and small boned. I have some photos and will try to load them later. She is very gentle when she jumped up beside you. The runs may be due to the second vax so back to chicken and rice. xx

Today we went to the country park with Jenny and her pack. Issy was a bit unsure at first but soon settled down.

Us it just me that can't see the photos 😢😢 Photobucket has blocked links to forums Fran. There's a thread or three on it in the Photography section of the forum, many of us are now using postimage now.

A couple more. She doesn't photograph as small as she is. She is very whippety to look at. I did try to get a couple of photos on my phone, but it was a dark day, so Fiona has sent me a couple more home ones.
