There's a lot of love being shared in your house, lucky Lola! Made me smile to see everyone on the floor and Lola on the sofa, sounds about right!

Hi All, Lola has come into season and Iβm not an expert on these sort of things? We have her booked in Thursday for spay can she still have it done ? And Iβm not sure how long sheβs been in season for , sheβs been weeing a hell of a lot since weβve had ? Some info would be much appreciated π

Hi All, Lola has come into season and Iβm not an expert on these sort of things? We have her booked in Thursday for spay can she still have it done ? And Iβm not sure how long sheβs been in season for , sheβs been weeing a hell of a lot since weβve had ? Some info would be much appreciated π No, Lola can't be spayed whilst in season, it needs to be done around 3 months after it's finished if I remember correctly. This is mid way between average seasons so advice can vary from vet to vet I suppose. We went through a season with Greta and it wasn't too bad but they're all different. You'll need to keep her on lead and be aware that boy dogs will be extra interested in her, so take care to keep her away from them (you can't always tell which dogs are still entire!). We used little boys pants with kitchen towel in to catch the drips (luckily not many). Think you can buy special dog pants if she's dripping heavily. I'm sure others more experienced will be along with more advice, in the meantime, this might help (although this says spay 1 month after the end of the season). www.answers.com/Q/How_long_is_a_bitch_in_season

My pix isn't spayed x yes weeing lots is normal , you might find she looses appetite too x Pix looses all ability to listen in week two and her brain goes to mush !! You might find she sleeps more or just carries on as normal x Pix is cranky towards dogs in her space for about two days in second week and then turns into a hormonal flirt!!with people too !! Just keep separate from other dogs and remember once stopped spotting they are very fertile !!!

I agree with Loz π If you look at her vulva it will look swollen but will go back to normal after. Coming into season is so common in these young ladies when they come in to a home and relax!! Just phone the vet and tell them and they will advise you π
