So happy for both Joan and Nettie... a perfect couple. I'm glad you've got to see the happy skippy Nettie. It's so cute. It's like her inner happy dog wants to come out but she's not used to letting it happen... all that has changed now!

Gently does it Joan. That wound needs some time to heal, so only short walks, and not too often until it does. x

I think an allergy test is a very sensible next step. Little Rufus, one of the regulars had terrible trouble with his ears. An allergy test found a multitude of allergens, both food and environmental. His owner has eliminated as many of these as she can and he's much improved.
I'm not a fan of treating the symptoms without finding the cause. AB's and steroids suppress the immune system.

A quick update on Nettie. Joan took her to the Vet yesterday to get an allergy blood test done to try and help find a solution for the issues with her ears. All went well and the Vet is very pleased with her progress. We have to wait a couple of weeks for the results. They are both completely besotted with one another. Joan has taken about a thousand photos, but needs to ask a neighbour for help to get them sent over to me. So be prepared

It's good to hear that Nettie is doing well. Hopefully that ear infection is under control and they can find out if it's an allergy. I'm so happy to hear how well Nettie and Joan have bonded. It always seemed like it could be a great match and to hear how happy Joan is makes my day. It's lovely to think about the loving home that sweet Nettie has found and what a lovely life she has.

That sounds a very happy ending to me. Hope there's good news on the ears.
