Oh gawd, got a lump in my throat. Group hug required. Joan and Nettie look like a match made in heaven. xxx Well done Christine, I'd not have been able to let her go (that might have been a marriage breaker, lol).

Such good news for both of them. Toni, make sure Joan has my number at hand. And we promise that Nettie will have SLR backup for life. x

As I went to bed last night I was thinking of Nettie and Joan, hoping that everything had gone as planned. So happy for them both. Well done Christine. 😚

Seeing the smile on Joan's face when she was looking at Nettie said it all. Christine did a wonderful job and although sad must be delighted with the result.

Some more heart warming pictures of Nettie and Joan at home Nettie meeting the noisy neighbours, two Chi's (one had been put indoors because we couldn't hear ourselves talk ) Saying hello to her new Mum Once again, thank you Christine and Jenny for making an old Lady very happy, she was crying on and off all the way home, tears of joy

Thanks for the new photos Toni. Joan is just the right person for Nettie and I'm guessing that Joan has already discovered that Nettie is just the right girlie for her. I keep thinking about her and hoping she isn't too bewildered but I'm sure she's going to have the best life possible with Joan and will be much loved and cared for. I'm especially looking forward to the day that Joan can let Nettie off the lead and seeing how she loves to run and chase with other dogs.

Thank you so much Christine, for all you have done for, and with Nettie. I can only imagine how strange and sad it is without her. But it does look like she is going to have a good life and I imagine she and Joan will become inseperable. x

I can only imagine how much Christine is missing Nettie as she has absolutely won everyone's heart and I am in tears as pictures of her arriving in her forever home. What a lovely girlie - I am sure that she will have a wonderful life with Joan wanting for nothing especially love. What a heart warming story with such a happy ending.

Joan and I took Nettie to the Vets to have her stitches out yesterday, all done xx What can I say?? Well when I arrived at Joan's Nettie looked happy and relaxed (might have been the whale type music that Joan was playing for her ) and it was as if she had lived there for years. She was happy to see me and my gang and gave a playful skip at Finnegan who ignored her , but she looks very happy and settled. Everyone who meets her falls in love with her, including me, she really is the sweetest of dogs. She gave a small squeak when her stitches were being taken out but gave no other reaction. The Vet wants to do allergy blood tests to try and find out exactly what is causing her ear infections, the left one has flared up again. Joan is coping well with all the Nursing that Nettie needs and is already totally bessoted. Joan has been proudly walking Nettie around the village introducing her to everyone and all her neighbors are delighted that Joan has another dog (all that I have met have thanked me for getting Joan another dog) Unfortunately I only have a couple of grainy pic of Nettie at the Vets looking to Joan for comfort. I stupidly left my phone in the car when at Joans. Thanks again SLR for making this happen
