Lovely he's had a good first night. I'm so sad whenever I see his pictures but good to see him snuggling in duvets and cozy now xx

Bless this poor little boy So pleased to see him nice and comfy and warm. I think the cruelty is getting worse. The certain pigs involved just laugh at us all. With a "you can't touch us Attitude".

If there's a chance he might be cat friendly, we are looking for a new friend for Tiger after our beloved Bunter had to be PTS after a stroke last month. Probably a bit premature but just saying...

Monty is coming out of his shell, slowly but surely. He's still nervous and jittery but is walking out to the kitchen without encouragement now and ate out there tonight (I was feeding him in the lounge lol!) . His crate is definitely his safe place but he does lie down outside it. Has started to play a little with toys. He loves my girls, was sticking to Rosie's side during his walk this afternoon (on lead of course!).
The vet was lovely, sooo patient! He was very frightened, bless him. Has an ear infection so has got drops, which he hates! The wound is healing, don't really know the cause, she thinks it might have been a branch if he was running through undergrowth, he also has lots of small wounds on his paws and legs. Has started his vacs and is booked for neutering next Wednesday. Very young, possibly just over a year. Zonked out now in his bed!

I'm so pleased he is starting to relax abit. I am sure that when he realises he is safe his more cheeky side will come out. He has the saddest ๐s.

Bless him. He must feel rotten with an ear infection. I am sure he will come out of his shell when he realises he is safe and loved. He has suffered such a lot in his young life.

I'm so pleased he is starting to relax abit. I am sure that when he realises he is safe his more cheeky side will come out. He has the saddest ๐s. Yes his eyes are very sad and still wary. He freaks out a bit when we enter the lounge, weaves from side to side as though he wants to escape. We just ignore that and sit down and then he lays down but still watches all the time. His little head gets lower and lower then he nods off, bless him. Rosie still has the occasional grumble at him, but let's him steal her bed! He's spending longer outside the crate. I only shut the door at night and he sleeps all through, not a peep last night! He really doesn't like this windy weather, makes him even more nervous, and the dustmen were around earlier, he didn't like the sound of their dustcart either! Think there's a way to go with this little chap.

Gosh he sounds just like my Saluki boy Alfie that came to me years ago, terrified and completely shut down. He didn't wag his tail for weeks, but ended up being the most loving and faithful dog ever xxx Monty will make friends eventually, don't forget you have the Saluki aloofness to deal with as well as the fear. He will be one gorgeous boy when he realises he is now safe

Our Tilly jumps about when it is windy, still starts when the toaster pops and she has been with us for 3 years. These poor dogs never fully let go of what happened to them. When we first had her we had to catch her in the garden and put a lead on her to bring her in. Now I call and she races full pelt through the kitchen door, it's lovely to see. Onwards little man, you have started on your way to a new lovely life in SLR hands.

I know he definitely is very interested in the squirrels.

Well done Sue for giving this lad a good start in his new life starting now. Poor little might, onward and upward Monty!! He's looking so much better in the newest photos, even though there is a long way to go. We've had Kobe nearly 9 years and he still ducks if I move my hand too quick near his head or drop something when he is close to me

This boy's really coming out of his shell - very playful, I reckon he's not much more than a year. He has "borrowed" the glove for the log fire, the kindling, several booklets off the coffee table, a note pad and pen, a rug and all the toys, all ended up on his bed! If he could have picked it up, a plate would have joined them! Oh and did I mention he'd chewed my glasses case? Luckily not the glasses! So we've suddenly become extremely tidy, everything (hopefully) out of reach!
Still very nervy and jumpy, and wasn't eating enough in the kitchen, so I'm feeding him in the lounge again, hoping this will improve soon. He had a gentle bath today, he was very good. Ears are getting better and he is slightly more tolerant of the drops, bless him.
I'll get some pictures outside tomorrow, weather permitting!

I know he definitely is very interested in the squirrels. Will keep my fingers crossed - poor Tigger is so lonely. He does love 2 of our cats very much but I think he is missing lovely Bunter and their lurcher runs together. He's moping on the sofa a bit at the moment. Tigger loves to chase squirrels when out BTW - but he totally respects the cats in the house as they are the bosses! Fingers crossed Monty isn't TOO interested in squirrels!!!
