Winnie is more than just pretty now - she is just GORGEOUS She has blossomed into a very regal and loving Saluki cross with the most gorgeous coat. I have not managed to catch it on camera well enough but will keep trying. Her coat has grown really fluffy and bushy at the sides but from the top of her head and down her back, what started as a small darker honey stripe has continued to her butt and widened along the way so that her whole back looks like she has a pathway down it, and giving her an appearance of a square back end. The stripe is not so fluffy so is very noticeable. So unique - and she has settled so well - very little jealousy now with the others if they try to get my attention and many little kisses for me whenever she sees me. Not a big kisser like Bruce, but much more ladylike. Winnie, Bella and Rudi are great pals with Bruce joining in when he does not get too playful and even the Daxies invite Winnie to play, albeit in their own way. Winnie has had a good course of Hydrotherapy and has benefitted from the muscle toning and with the pain killer/anti inflammotory for her early onset arthritis and Yu Move tablets for her joints, she is able to be active - however 'active' does not really describe Winnie. Winnie is an outdoor girl who only comes in to rest and to get some love. She is always in the gardens or the paddock, running, playing or mooching and is usually covered in grass cuttings. She rarely barks at strange men now which is great for the delivery men! She loves her food and sometimes toys, but usually only chew ones. I got her micro chip details which puts her birth month as December 2013, so if that is correct, she is actually 3.5 years old and I believe really enjoying life. Because she is so active and athletic and so young, I have asked our Vet to refer her to an orthopaedic specialist (at my cost) to see if any further treatment for her would enhance her later years. I will post when I know more. In the meantime, here are some before and after picture of the gorgeous Winnie, who never whinges now and seems to have found a good place to be in both mentally and physically. Love Margey and the gang

Wow, what a beauty Winnie has turned into and what an unusual coat she has, probably unique. I will be very interested to hear what the orthopaedic specialist has to say about Winnie's arthritis, as Lottie also has early onset arthritis and like you I am very concerned for her future pain management. At the moment she is coping with golden turmeric paste and yumove tablets, but I don't think those alone are going to be enough soon. I am going to ask my Vet about Nutraquin when I next see her
