Winnie's x-rays were good, but Anil would still like her to build up the leg exercise before doing zoomies off-lead. Try telling that to Winnie. She was zooming round the garden trying to impress little Bella today. She impressed Margey! So much so that we have sent her up to Lincolnshire for a trial with Margey's pack. She and little Bella were good together and I feel that a rural home with a large pack is just what Winnie likes. No decisions yet, Margey is giving me a little restpite, and Winnie is one of those dogs who is happy as long as people cuddle her and other dogs like her.

Away from streets and traffic and busy roads she is a poppet. I am sure there is everything to love about Winnie. She will x

All good. They arrived home at 7 p.m. Have now had their dinner and Margey is starving. And I think she will need a drink after the journey with Bella! Winnie was a poppet all the way home, but concerned that Bella was whining. Margey has promised to post tomorrow. x

Fingers crossed Winnie works her magic...she'd make a lovely girlfriend for Brucie. x
And Margey has my sympathy, having listened to Bella's singing on the transport run!

I have been too busy to take photos yet, but will this morning. Well, Rudi had me up at 4.30 am for a wee, which is not unusual, except that having been away, I lost my orientation in the bedroom and could not find the door! So, Winnie and Bella thought it was time to get up and play Settled back down again, but at 6 am there was some whining outside the bedroom door (we are on the ground floor) and I thought it was Bella, but it was Winnie - full of the joys of spring. She has not stopped playing since, with Bella, Bruce and Rudi. She was really hungry and could not wait for her breakfast, which she had at 7.15 am and ever since she has been at my heels if I go anywhere near the kitchen. She loves to go outside but because of her knee, I am only letting her into the front courtyard and she was very miffed that she could not join the others on the romp round the full garden, but in a few weeks. She is playing with Bella, and with toys. Guess we can say that she is 'at home'. Love Margey xxx

Winnie took her time settling in?!!! I knew she would love it with your pack. I wouldn't worry about separating her if you are walking in the paddock. We got up to 1.5 miles rough grassland with her on lead and she had no pain in the leg. It's the zoomies we were trying to stop. Good luck with that one. I am so so pleased Bruce and Rudi love her. Did you leave Winnie and puppy Bella together last night. That sounds so lovely.
Can I ask how Mr. Doolittle is doing??? Can we send him any vitalin or stress tablets?

Lots of photos taken - just need to sort them out. Well, Winnie has certainly landed She has instigated play with the others ALL morning - how we are going to keep her from running around I don't know! Bruce and Rudi are responding to her requests and the play is already Lurcher hard. She is certainly an indoor jumper. She keeps clearing the sofa and this morning went from side to side in one leap - over Taz, who was resting, and the poor boy still doesn't know how a Gazelle leapt over him She wants to go outside all the time Meant to say that last night, she gracefully leapt from the sofa to the baby grand piano and walked across it. Luckily, it has a good cover on it! I am surrounded by hounds at the moment, all sitting around me in the study with Rudi whining at the door. He is scared of everything and won't go past the other dogs if they are in his path Time for Bella's meal - will post photos soon. Love Margey xxx

Sorry Jenny, did not see your post before I posted mine. Mr Doolittle has retreated to the workshop. He got a lie-in till 8am and I did all the feeding, so he is coping Winnie is running and bouncing even around the house and courtyard, but she must feel able. As I was ready to get up at a moment's notice and Winnie and Bella had settled in so well with the others, Winnie and Bella stayed in lounge/hall/study area (our bedroom is off this) with Bruce and Rudi, who sleep really well. Wtihout a hidden camera, I cannot tell who slept with who, I can only say that everyone was happy and refreshed in the morning, albeit an early call courtesy of Winnie, and no crying or whining. Must be the Doolittle effect. Margey xxx

Margey it does sound like you are having fun. That would be Rowlf's trick - standing on the piano! I guess Winnie has decided she likes your place! She will be a good companion for little Bella. Can't wait for piccies.

Just to reassure you Margey, it's the moving effect. They will all settle, but it must be like Christmas for them all. Exciting.
