I just want to give her lots of little kisses on her sweet face (well, I can do this on the pc!) Our little Elmer used to be EXACTLY like Suki... very timid and scared, but he HAS improved over the years, it takes time and patience! Thanks for this lovely picture of little Suki - love it so much!

A little update on our beautiful shy girl. She is all recovered from her spaying, not that you would have known from day 3 really. She has been the hardest to keep calm. She instigates most of the play with Dotty, she will bite Dottys legs or tail to get her to play. They run up the garden then come flying back and use their bed as a landing pad. They play bitey face, are so noisy growling at each other. Then one of them will get a toy ( or remnants of a toy ) from their toy box and play tug of war. Even Paddy joins in. In the park she is now playing with other dogs ( on a long lead). People are still very scary for her. She doesn't really like her back stroked, she really jumps a mile. So goodness know what has happened to her. On a positive she now knows when it's walkies and will let me stroke her when I out the lead on. She will take treat from anyone who has them. She loves a little drop of milk and I hold the bowl so she has to be near me. She lets me stroke her head and give her an ear rub. She let me scratch her neck today and I found her tickley spot. She has grown taller since we had her she still need to put on weight though. She eats all her food but doesn't gulp it down. She definat.ely needs to live with other dogs. She just LOVES PADDY ,he is like her security blanket and Dotty is her playmate. When we are out on a walk she always tries to be with paddy.

Getting there! Sounds like she realises life is fun - just needs a bit more reassurance that the people she meets now are not cruel. Well done foster family (humans and dogs) for helping this little one.

No, just my phone or iPad. I will get some of her playing in the park. Dotty has a mild case of kennel cough atm. She wasn't given any antibiotics just been told to give her children's benylin. So far no signs of it in Suki. Fingers crossed. Xx I am trying to stop them playing so much but as I'm sure you can imagine it's not as easy.

What a beautiful girl. Horrible to think of what has happened to her to make her so scared or humans. Lovely to hear her progress though :-)

The good news is that she is coming out of her shell and will build up confidence from Dotty and Paddy. She will definitely need to be rehomed with another confident placid dog around.

Today Suki is going to her forever home. . She is going to live with Kim who adopted Perry a few years ago. I am sure Kim will give her all the patience and understanding that she needs. She is still very scared if you touch her. She will happily take a treat and as soon as you get the treat bag out she is there. Hopefully As Perry is a people dog and she is a dogs dog they will both help each other. She will be greatly missed as she is so funny but I am sure she will have a happy new life , once settled. I will take photos and post later .

Good luck in your new home, Suki.
I'm sure you'll continue to come out of your nervous shell!
