Poor baby, such a troubled face having gone through god knows what horrors. If only she knew life now will only get better

Thank you for helping this poor little girl, looking forward to some pics of her first smile when she realises she is safe and is feeling better.

Well done for taking her in. She'll soon start relaxing as she gets to experience your routines and then we'll see her character coming out.

Olive has been a little unwell. The vet thinks it's probably the stress of everything that's happened to her as well as the move to a new place but she's responding well to the medication so fingers crossed.
Considering she is in the crate most of the time and only goes to the garden for toilet breaks on a short lead she is amazing, so sweet and hardly grumbles. She loves finding a sunny spot and just stands there soaking up the sun and and she looks like she is smiling.

And a big thankyou from me Casey and for SLR for being *here*. I'm sure that once she knows she's safe in a calm and loving environment she will flourish.

She must be traumatised, poor little mite. Love and standing in the sunshine will be so special for her.

I have a heart-tugging image in my mind of Olive soaking up some sun. I do hope this little one's health will soon improve so that she can really begin to experience the kind of quality of life and love that she has almost certainly never before known. Thank you so much Casey

A quick update on Olive as we've just got home from the vets after a dressing change. Her tummy problems seem to have settled but I'm keeping her on rice and chicken at the moment as it seems it be suiting her. The sores under the dressing have improved and me and the vet think her skin in general has also improved but she has very sore smelly ears so now has drops for those. Apart from the first night she has been clean in the crate and sleeps all night. I think she prefers quiet and calm as I've noticed she isn't so settled when we are all in and out of the kitchen. In general she seems to be quite unsure of a lot of situations and had fear aggression at the vets tonight as it was very busy and she was shaking all over Thursday she is going to have her leg x-rayed and be spayed at the same time with the vet who first treated the break. Olive is slowly on the mend and so loving despite everything that has happened to her.

Poor mite. She has been through so much. Maybe she is used to hiding away from "trouble". I am sure her confidence will grow with you.

Bless you Casey. You are really going through it with her. And she is really going through it. Hopefully, get this last op out the way and she can start to enjoy some life. xxx
