Could you teach him Look At Me instead of squirting him in the face with water .....we had the same problem with victor and did the same ...it worked for a few days but it Actually makes them fearful of meeting dogs as they begin to expect to be squirted with water ....Positive training is so much kinder and works long term ....every time i saw a dog coming i got victor to stop and look at me ..,if he did he got a piece of cheese or sausage ....it only took victor twice to cotton on and he would look to me if he saw a dog before me .....i still do this 6 years later and victor is calm when meeting other dogs whilst onlead. ...this was with holding 4 other dogs too ....Good luck tomorrow with the boy Op xxx

Ghengis sounds like a great little character. A lot like Boris when he first arrived. The "look at me" is working well for him. There are some great tips about this on one of the other threads.

Sending lots of 'safe GA' vibes for the little mans snip today, and some 'stay calm' ones for you and Mollie to dose him with afterwards too (I think you may need them)!

I met him yesterday for the first time. Talk about 'Duracell Dog'. He is so friendly, a super little chap and full of character. He will make somebody a lovely pet. Good luck little Nutless one!

Cant believe that my Alfie (below) has a lookalike in Ghengis (above) I hope Ghengis is better behaved than Alfie- I doubt the world would cope with 2. The day Alfie had his bits removed I dropped him off early and planned a nice quiet day. Not to be! Mid morning the vets rang, said he was fine, wide awake and very loud. Would I please pick him up as soon as possible! He is now 5 and has continued to live his life the same way- very loud and full- on. Hope all went well today

The boy is home now. I took him in first thing, and they rang at lunchtime to say it had all gone well but he was happily sleeping it off in a crate, so I picked him up at 3pm. He was keen to come home and is only a little bit dreamy. I'm sure by tomorrow he'll be back to his bouncy self. At first he was very keen to lick the wound site, so we tried the blow-up collar By teatime he felt much better... And sure enough by Saturday morning he was his usual bouncy self. We decided he was a bit too reactive to go to the fund raiser in Romsey, so Mollie stayed home with him.

Hope he heals well the little hairy mischief maker!!!!. Flo talks to us and chats to other dogs at times. It's that terrier trait I'm sure he will calm it down but I don't think talking will stop!!! Have fun!! Xxx
