Hello Janhollyoak. Welcome to the forum, you will need to get a homecheck done and fill in the application form to adopt. We are a friendly bunch who are all here to help. Good luck.x

Hi earlybird, we did adopt a bedlington cross (Dudley) from you back in august 2011, who settled in very well with our border terrier, who can be a little grumpy. Dudley (now Hathaway) seems to be very similar in nature to Tatty. Both our dogs are currently 9, so ideally we are looking for a younger dog (bedlington).

Tatty does have a meeting set up for early February. Unfortunately the applicants are on holiday until then, but have been homechecked and passed so we do need to see how that one pans out. Glad Dudley is doing well Jan.

Today Tatty had his second vaccination, so he is now ready to go when the right home comes along. While we were there he stood on the scales agin, and I'm pleased to say he has put on another kilo - 12.2 today. He is not worried about going to the vets, and stands quietly while things are done.
He has certainly settled into home life here very well. He relaxes between walks, and has recently started to get Hugo interested in a bit of bitey-face, and is occasionally playing with a ball or chewing a bone. He likes moving a shoe occasionally, but so far has not shown a desire to tear them up! When out for street walks in this recent awful rain, he is walking better on the lead, although he still gets excited when another dog comes along. He only wants to say hello and play, but the street isn't the place for that! He now skips up and down our bare wood stairs with no problem, and continues to sleep through the night.
We're continuing to keep him on the extending lead as there are just too many dogs to run over to on Whitecliff, and we know his recall needs some training to be able to drag him away from all these distractions! He would probably benefit from some classes with his new owners to get him more disciplined.
All in all he is is happy, affectionate boy who will be a joy to his forever family.

Tatty had some visitors today. They liked the look of him and he was very friendly, so we all went for a walk. He was a good boy and behaved himself, so they have taken him home for a sleepover...... Fingers crossed!
