A very sociable little guy. Seemed to be in his element surrounded by loads of new friends. Don't blink or you'll miss him - I can't see him waiting long for his new home.

Hopefully not. We did think a previous Adopter was intersted, but they think a slightly older dog would be better for their older bitch. So... I will get him onto the website today. x

Dropped him off at 9.30 this morning, hope it all goes Well. He's having some other things attended to while he's quiet. A microchip, nails trimmed, and an anti-biotic injection for runny eyes.
Delighted to say he has put on a kilo since last week. He now weighs 11.2kg.The idea of 4 small meals did not work as he was not that hungry, but he enjoys the same treats as our two, with a main meal after the afternoon walk. It's working, anyway!
He is settling into our routines well. Between the two walks he is lazing around like the others. He plays with a ball a little bit, but not as keenly as some we have had He hasn't really mastered the stairs, but when I carry him up I put him down short of the top, so he has to hop up a few stairs by himself. He has once managed to get down unaided - we all went down together and he felt abandoned, so he followed before I had time to turn round to help him! He is very vocal out on walks wanting to join in with other dogs' play, but generally walks well on the lead. He doesn't pull as much as he did a week ago. He is snuggling up to our two when he can. Lorna is not as tolerant as Hugo, and often moves after a couple of minutes, but last night Hugo allowed him to snuggle for about 15 mins before he moved away. Although he also likes to get up on the sofa and squeeze between the two of us, it doesn't last very long as I think he gets hot, so gets down and lies on the carpet near our feet.
Although he is confident and friendly enough to manage being an only dog, as long as he got plenty of running with other dogs out on walks, we do feel he would like the company of another dog at home.
More later when we get him home.

Here's hoping little Tatty's op and MOT goes well today, and hope not too much weight is lost with his cherries!

Tatty is back home now, and eating some food. I picked him up at 4.15, after he had had a couple of hours recovering. All went well, and he just has a sticky bandage over the scar. He is quieter than usual, but watching everything going on in the kitchen as Mollie gets our tea ready.
I'm sure he'll be fine after a night's sleep.

Tatty was good as gold in his crate last night, but is bouncing around, full of beans, as soon as he was let out!
Although he occasionally licks the plaster that is over the wound ( I expect it itches) he is otherwise unaffected by the op.
Hugo played with him a little bit in the garden, almost as if to say "you're one of us now" !
