Im sure Lottie was a hippo in a former life, Lily has always hated getting feet wet and muddy, so thanks a bunch Lottie for teaching her to roach in mud.

It is with great sadness that we are no longer going to adopt the adorable Lottie. This is no fault of her own. although we live in the middle of 80 acres, we dont have a secure garden and Lottie is an escape artist and needs a secure garden with someone who stays at home. Lottie has the sweetest nature of any dog I have ever had. She walks calmly on the lead, really friendly with other dogs and most humans, although a little wary of men until she knows you. She is cage trained and house trained, although only just and needs to be let out very often. Her joy of life is wonderful to watch. My heart will break to let her go but we need to do what os best for Lottie. She has recently been spayed.

Well done for being aware of Lottie's needs. It is better to let a dog be rehomed than live with constant worries and regrets. Hugs for doing the right thing and I am sure Lottie will find the right home soon.

That's really sad news, but it sounds like you're doing the best thing for her

At the moment Lottie will be staying with Tina and David as she has just undergone surgery for a barbed wire incident. She is fine, had a general yesterday to stitch up the tear in her leg, and some superficial injuries to her stomach. This has made Tina sure that she really does need some boundaries to contain "the saluki instinct to chase". I think this has really shaken Tina, but in fostering, these things happen.

Heal quickly Lottie. Lurchers and accidents go hand in hand unfortunately.

You have my utmost sympathy Tina, it's just horrible when a foster dog is injured on your watch...as I know too well. Try not to be too hard on yourself, she'll be fine, and there is the right lurcher out there for you and David.

She looks so gorgeous and has all those mischievous lurcher traits, including a lust for life. Wish I had room for one more. Holly and Ivy would be thrilled, they could get even more muddy together. Not sure about the cats though! Hope she finds a lovely new home soon.

So sorry to hear this after her traveling all that way, I would offer again but I am looking to foster a very timid girl elsewhere at the moment.
