He is indeed.
I measured him today at 26" tts - looking at those ginormous paws I wonder what size he'll reach in adulthood?
Some random thoughts/observations:
Boris copes well with stairs - bounds up them with no problem & is steady going down.
He'll make a good watchdog - he lets anyone coming anywhere near our front door know in no uncertain terms that he's ready to pounce!
Boris has today added crows & seagulls to the list of birds he tries to catch.
He's shown some signs of separation anxiety today, & has become very clingy.
I groomed him today, & he responded really well to being brushed, (& to the rich tea biscuits the hounds get in this establishment for submitting to this treatment!) - the boy has the most gorgeous soft coat.

Gawd Barnacles, anyone would think in your last two posts that you were trying to put peeps off. He had no trouble at all saying hello to an Akita cross at the kennels and didn't make a sound in the kennel. All the others were sounding off but he just looked!

Following this fellas journey - saw him on a different rescue site & made an initial enquiry so they referred us to you.
Be interesting to hear what he's OK with once he's had a chance to settle :-)

Gawd Barnacles, anyone would think in your last two posts that you were trying to put peeps off. Nope - Boris is a very lovely lad & extremely affectionate, but I obviously have to tell it as it is & not give folks who might be considering adopting him any false ideas. That is in his past - I'm relating things as they are now.
Following the first couple of days being totally clean indoors, he blotted his copybook on Friday night & yesterday morning. Since then he has reverted to being clean.
He tries very hard to play with the girls, & isn't in the least deterred by their rebuffs, bless him, but regrettably they're not into play.
In the strong winds over the past couple of days Boris has been very skittish, continually leaping around on his lead, as he does when he spies cats or other dogs. This behaviour was exacerbated at about 5.20 a.m. today, when we encountered a whole herd of deer trotting along the cycle track in single file, & again some ten minutes later, when they could be seen through the trees making their way back to wherever they originated from.
I've been trying the lad with Rescue Remedy, but as yet it doesn't seem to have had much effect either on his leaping around, or on his separation anxiety, but I'll persevere.
Some Boris pics to follow shortly.

He is beautiful indeed. I suspect he is young enough to break any unwanted behaviour. Of course you have to be honest Barney. It's not fair to set the boy up to fail.

Totally stunning. The length of his back!!!! Yup - he's what my dear old Mum would have referred to as a 'lanky galoot'.
The lad's off to the vets this afternoon - be interesting to see how he copes with his jab!

I picked Barney and Boris up for the Vets this afternoon with puppy Isla in tow. He greeted her with a wag and a lick and sniff. He journed to the Vets with a little whining at first, but then he was in a crate that was too small for him. But needs must! Into the Vets and he said hello to the Vet Nurse and then to Catherine the Vet. Unfortunately they did not have the strain of Lepto that he needs, so we are going back again tomorrow to have the vaccine done. We took him out through reception, where a little snauzer was sitting and again he greeted it with a wag and a sniff. No noise and no animosity. We then went to the post office and I rang in with the post whilst Barney stood with the dogs. On the way back there was a border collie in front, but Boris didn't notice it. We had introduce the head halti and he was trying his best to either remove it or itch it! I got a couple of photos and a video which I will have to wait for it to load. He is a stunning dog and isn't at all phased by lots of pulling around and kisses. I on purposely over-cuddled and pulled his face around inspecting his teeth today, and the boy is solid. Oh, and he travels without drooling. So some plus points today. Video to follow.. I seem to have lost the sound, can you hear it. Sorry about my voice.

Boris has arrived. Mr. Tag is not playing ball, but all the others have introduced themselves, and Annie and Isla think he is fun. He has greeted them all with a wag and is a bit wary of Honey, but all good. Click on the videos to view. Annie tells him off Tag has become a little less tolerant of new boys since his ops. But Boris liked him.
