Only just caught up on this. OMdoG poor Boris, that looks incredibly painful - must be so worrying for you all. Do hope the swelling and pain soon begin to subside and that Boris is then able to toilet in comfort and begin to feel much, much less uncomfortable. Sending gentlest ear ruffles for the lovely boy

Hi All, You'll be relieved to know (pun fully intended!) that after much huffing and puffing, Boris has done 5 poos in short order. All solid. He'd not done one since Sunday. And I'd just bought some lactulose to get things moving - no need now. I won't be posting photos That comes after getting out a monstrous pee last night at about 04:00. Hopefully he is a lot more comfortable now. The next milestone will be to get him to the stage where he can stand and walk without being in pain and do his business outside. Poor little mite! He is such a love as he still tries to do a feeble waggy-tail when I come back into the room. He is definitely on the mend and the swelling continues to go down. So far, I have not had to tuck into his Tramadol! Steffan

Without internet, so only just caught up with the worrying saga. So very sorry that the lovely lad's been through all this, but delighted that no laxative was necessary, & that he's in such very good hands.
Keep mending well Boris - you're thought of with the greatest affection every day.

Good news today as Boris is now comfortable enough to stand and walk short distances - enough for me to be able to get him outside for a pee today - hoorah!
He is playful and perky but still scares the other boys when he hops about the place in a bit of an uncomfortable panic banging his head cone against door frames and furniture. Until today, he would only charge from soft cushion to soft cushion, landing on them like a helicopter on an oil rig in a storm.
So the weekend looks like it will be a much calmer and more manageable time compared to the last few days. We have a follow-up appointment with Aly on Monday morning, at which time, if all is well, I hope we can take off the infernal head cone and we can give the fella a bit of a bath.
Steffan
