I have been away for the week with no internet and have been itching to find out how Ollie was getting on in his new home. Well it looks as though he has totally landed on his paws (which I knew he would) and has a lovely new family to provide him with lots of love and fun. Thank you Ollie's new M&D for giving him a home, I did your homecheck and just knew you would give him a lovely life. Hugs to Christine for getting him ready for his new life . Wonderful photos of the beautiful county that we are lucky enough to live in and of course your lovely Hounds. I was at the Donkey Sanctuary today. When Ollie has fully settled in we must meet up for a Lurcher get together. I am just so happy for everyone but especially for Ollie, he has been waiting a long time for his forever sofa

Toni It would be good to take all the hounds for a walk together as Ollie can still get anxious when he meets dogs on his walks. I was at the Donkey Sanctuary today with all 4 dogs but it was early before it got too hot. Ollie is starting to get more relaxed on his walks as he's getting used to his environment but he's still really alert looking all around him for anything that moves. He certainly appears to have a strong hunting instinct. He's been very good walking past horses, cows, etc but is very interested in rabbits, birds and squirrels

As we discussed, don't let him get into the red zone, and keep walking in a determined way and he'll learn you're the pack leader and he needn't try and take on this role. He is a bit of an anxious dog (although not as bad as Alice) and his natural position in the pack is the middle or back. As he gets more confident he'll gradually learn to let you be leader and when he meets something he's not sure about he'll let you deal with it rather than grrrrrr at it to make it go away. He's much better than he used to be and he'll get there ... as you know, he's a lovely sweet-natured boy but just a bit timid. It will be really nice for him to meet Toni and her pack. Look forward to the photos! Still missing this lovely boy

Just a quick update on Ollie. He has fitted in to our house so well and feels like he's always been here. All 3 dogs get on without any problems and Red and Ollie love to play with each other. It can look a bit rough but it's only pretend biting and they are really well matched. If he could Ollie would play all day long. I've attached below one of their wrestling matches

That's a lovely video of two very happy playful dogs. They clearly have a really nice relationship and are loving their play together. Ollie is such a lovely boy. All those months when I thought it was so unfair that nobody wanted him, but now it's clear he was waiting for you both, along with Red and Doc. He's found his perfect forever home and is bringing you much joy along with his loving nature. Thanks for the update ... still miss this special boy. Give him a hug from me.

Lovely video! You can see they are having a lot of fun, and that they are well matched. Neither one is too dominant or overly boisterous. Great to hear that he's settling in well with you all as well.

Lovely - such respectful play. (Whenever mine play, its so boisterous I am always on the verge of calling a halt before it 'ends in tears'.) Really wonderful to see Oliver has found his special pack and best friend.

I finally got round to a walk with Ollie, his new Dad/slave Chris, the gorgeous Red and the delightful Doc. We walked along the river at Colyton, one of my favorites x It's the first time I had met Ollie, what a smashing Hound he is, he is so obviously very happy and settled with his new pack. Arriving in style at the carpark. My three were singing their heads off at this point and you can see Ollie and Red thinking, who the hell are that rabble Greeting Finn. Ollie and Finn took quite a shine to one another Handsome pair xx Having a drink and a paddle You can see in this pic that Ollie has just noticed a dog going along the path, but, he was no where near as reactive as I thought he would be. Lottie is worse than him I seemed to miss out my two girls, they were there, but off doing their own thing xx

Lovely pictures, Toni. I must admit I am rather smitten with Red. He is rather stunning isn't he, but very, very shy, he still wouldn't let me touch him and that was our second meeting Whereas I got a lovely lean and fuss from Ollie
