Just an update on Isla (now Holly) and Ivy. They are both such wonderful companions for each other - and for us! They just love playing chase together and will swop around as to who chases who. With this weather they have often ended up as extremely muddy dogs but do they care? Not a bit of it. They came away with us over the New Year and fitted in with new surroundings beautifully and with my sister's golden retriever. What gems. Love them both to bits. Will try and post some photos if they stay still long enough. Ps. The cats still rule the roost. Holly is still shy with them, Ivy licks them to death. They just purr....

Holly is due to be spayed next week, poor baby, but we will take care of her. She is having keyhole surgery for it so hopefully will be able to recover quickly and it will be much less traumatic so that is good. I think Ivy will really miss her when she goes to the vets on Monday morning, they are inseparable.

Holly has really grown now and is only minimally less tall than Ivy. The only way to tell them apart is by Ivy's beautiful feathery tail. They are both asleep at present in front of the wood burning stove but half an hour ago they were going bonkers having a run in the paddock. We had visitors last weekend who kindly offered to bring and cook steak for us which they unfortunately took out if the fridge and left on the back of the kitchen counter. You don't do that with lurchers around do you? Gone in an instant, very craftily - we had fish and chips! You've just got to love them, haven't you?

Haha WTG Holly and Ivy. Never mind - fish and chips is scrummy too. Good to hear that both hounds are having such a great life.
