I know that it takes two weeks to start seeing the 'real dog' emerging so I won't make too many statements on how Twirl is perfect etc but here are some of the things that I don't believe will change drastically #1. She is clean indoors #2. Fast learner (i will be seeking advice on getting a decent 'sit', I can't figure out how to get her bum on the floor) #3. Her confidence is growing. #4. She is other dog and child friendly #5. Not hyperactive. #6. Does pull a little on the lead but as a stray I don't suppose she had much practice. #7. Sleeps all night #8. Can be left for a while without distructive behaviour #9. Playful #10. Beautiful soul. I must say she has really endeared herself to me and Neil and our pack, if we weren't already at capacity she would be a ff. I love her to bits.

For a sit - get her with her back to a settee or something so she can't reverse. Stand in front of her with a treat to her nose and slowly raise the treat so her bum has to go down. I am sure you have tried this tho!

I am sure you have tried this tho! I have tried that treat above the nose (it was quite simple with a westie pup) but i didn't have her backed to a settee, she just kept standing on her hind legs. Perhaps some practice with yummy liver cake purchased today Thanks Heather xx

Twirl has been with me just over a week now. She just gets better and better. As her confidence grows her playful and inquisitive side is coming out. She remains a gentle soul. There doesn't appear to be any negatives.... Her lady op is being done on Tuesday so will be asking for healing vibes.

She sounds like she's going to make someone very happy. Once her girly op is out of the way she'll be ready to find that new forever home. I'm betting it will be hard to let this lovely girl go!

This is nothing short of a miracle. Twirl has been allowed in to Jethro's bed! Twirl goes in for her lady op on Tues. She continues to be a star. On our morning walks we have been giving her a run on the long lead, she doesn't move far from us or our pack, obviously whilst she is still with lady bits we wouldn't risk off lead activity, she is so pretty I am sure any male dog would be interested in her! Once she has recovered I will be doing more work on lead walking, we walked with Jethro tonight and she was ok until a yorkshire terrier joined us, Twirl became rather excited by him and was trying to entice him to play. She doesn't have a nasty bone in her body.

Just to show how laid back this girl is! And I'm pants at action shots. She is playful, happily stealing socks but will drop on command. No chewing but hoards toys and clothing.
