Don't think it will be long before she is in a forever home - reckon they will be queuing round the block for her.

Update on Lilly Lilly has been with us for 24hrs now, and I can honestly say she has not put a paw wrong, a little timid but only to be expected it's early days. Very gentle nature and so loving. She loves Gershwin and looks to him for approval/guidance. I have only taken her round the paddock for walks as I dont want to risk hurting her feet, she has claws on her back feet that upwards also strange enlarged pads on some toes ,they dont seem to worry her but if anyone can give advice on this I would appreciate it. She has obviously had a skin condition hence the shaved coat, all seems good now but I have some malaseb if needed. Lilly is now curled up on her bed in the living room as Gershwin is hogging the sofa, heating on!! I'm off for a kip as have been up since 4.30 making sandwiches for 300 people.

Lilly has been with us a week now, and she still hasn't put a paw wrong. She is so gentle and loving, completely house trained and well mannered. She is hilarious when she has a bonkers blast indoors, when I'm in the kitchen she will sit by my feet and chatter away to me till she gets a treat. This morning I took Lilly and Gerswin to the showground next door , an early walk as they have the truckfest going on, as we were heading home the monster truck started its display in the field next to us Gershwin shot off home but Lilly stuck close to me and with the aid of treats we got home safely. she is definitely cat friendly a little interested but only to play bow and bark. Her lead walking needs some attention as she pulls at first but soon settles and trotts along happily, I think I will risk off lead this week (enclosed area) as she has selective hearing!!! Also the vet has said her strange toes are due to damaged flexor tendons, she was either born with this or sustained some injury, no sign of scarring though. All in all she is a little angel and a pleasure to have at home, she adores my husband Ren so not scared of men as we first thought.

She'll about 1 yo, he can't tell if she has been spayed but he could not feel or see any evidence of a scar also Gershwin tried humping her this afternoon , he was done 4 years ago so a distant memory for the silly fool. Whilst I remember can you post me some SLR business cards as we have Paws in the Park next door this weekend and will be taking Lilly and Gershwin over to (hopefully) meet and greet peeps.x P.s still need a SLR disc for her, thanks

Hi Jonnie She's 24" tts, her legs are fine its just her foot, it doesn't bother her and she's completely sound on it, her feet are quite large so I think she has more growing to do. Apart from that she's prefect

What's the story with her foot / feet then? You mention claws pointing upwards? Do you mean she has dew claws on her back feet? Over large pads makes me think Saluki blood in her mix or a possible infection? Any thoughts on her mix..........folk do say pups will grow into their paws. We had a fawn Bedi / Whip x Red Whip years ago and she had a sort of grizzle colour going on.

Her middle toes have no tendons so her toes are flatter to the ground ie not neatly bunched, so without these tendons her claws can't touch the ground and wear naturally, so they will have to be clipped to keep them from growing too long.she has definitely got whippet and I suspect saluki in her genes. I'm sure she's still growing as she has a typical puppy look about her, hence the large feet and typical puppy play.

One of Scruffter's toes is the same. The nail just sticks up at a funny angle and is floppy if you flick it. It causes him no pain or discomfort at all. I do clip all the hounds' nails, but if he thinks the wonky nail is getting too long he gnaws it off himself.
