Jasper came into the Rescue when he was 13 weeks old. With the Mix he has they take a few years to finally settle down. He hasn't yet. He likes to run and run and be chased by other dogs. He will run up to other dogs and chase around them yapping for them to chase him.
Now... people who understand this mix know what they are like. They are happy, yappy when playing but very good indoors, with children, with other dogs indoors and with other dogs they meet regularly.
Unfortunately Jasper's mum is having another Baby and can't find the time and energy, feeling very sickly at the moment, to be able to give Jasper the runs and playtime that he needs. She does have another Beddie X bitch, who has played with Jasper, but it is physically demanding for her at the moment and she feels he is not having enough exercise.
We are looking for an active home for Jasper. A home definitely with another active Lurcher for him to run with and someone with more than an average garden for him to play in.
He has been to training, but running off lead is not the same as training, and he just loves it.
Could you be that home. - Could you give him the exercise, off lead runs and a friend. He is a live wire.
THE ADMIN OF THIS RESCUE, JENNY, has a similar mix and at nearly 5 years old her little Beddie X Saluki has just started to settle!!!
Jasper is good indoors, and can be left for up to 4 hours. Sleeps downstairs and is non-destructive.
This is what his current Adoptive mum has to say about Jasper.
"Jasper is a 2 year old Bedlington x Saluki. We have had Jasper now for one year and he has been a real Gentlemen in the House. He adores any attention from people and especially loves my daughters. Anything they are doing he wants to be involved in!!. He lives with two small lurcher bitches and will lay up against one of them to sleep. He can be left happily while popping in and out the home and is not destructive in the house. Jasper is fed on a diet of a Burns for breakfast and a raw diet with a chicken wing for tea. He doesn't jump up or steal food and knows Basic commands( sit, down, wait, paw. And enough!!!). He enjoys agility and Zoomies in a open field with his playmates he knows. He likes lurcher play and is very vocal when playing. But can hide when his had enough of Flo going a bit to hard on him!.so he is a sensitive boy that needs some reassurance and guidance when out the house. We have been working on his lead walking and this will need to be on going training for Jasper"
Here he is.
