The Adopt Me coats are donated by Steve and Deb whose Mum had owned Ariel. I kept the small one for Ariel and suggested Steve gave Albert the big one - and they are for the use of the SLR rescue hounds while waiting for their forever home.
So the thanks are for Steve and Deb.

Xx Plan A is still that, to come to you on your return from such a horrible place and dreadful company. We now have the option of Plan B, because Helen's happy to continue with his foster, thinking he'll not be waiting long, so why another short-foster with you Claire. He's starting to grow in confidence, or more like, being less fearful/timid. We're happy either way. One factor out of our hands is when shall a suitable adopter be found. Oh, also, never certain if no complication might arise after Le Chop on Thursday. Now,,, get back to 'holiday'. You must have worked out what that is already!

I would prefer not to move him if Helen is happy to continue. And yes, he does have interest. x

Thanks Ian. At work today. Bored meeting, waiting for a trip to the park. Chillaxed afterwards. Unfortunately, Albert's not simply not house trained. He's seems to think one does one's doings inside, not outside. Sometime's he's pretty much waiting to get inside before he goes! The concrete floor in the warehouse here at work is of particular interest to him. Just how much of his life has he spent in a concrete kennel?! The toilet training's gone right down to puppy level. It's been near 30 years since I've last done it... Patience, timing, routine, patience, luck, timing, etc, etc.

Oh poor boy. I am sure he will soon follow Ringo and Joeys lead in such matters.
I thinks there is too much concrete in some dogs lives.
Simon you and Helen are doing a great job and it was a pleasure to see Albert on Sunday and of course Ringo and Joey.

My wish is to go with what is best for Alberto...when in Rome... if Helen is happy for him to stay then obviously that is better that disruption. I am due a easy foster though!! (Not that mopping up pee is good fun) my jethro still has an occassional slip, more so through S A. Off to the infinity pool, hard work as it is, someone has to do it! Off to check the dolphins and whales out tomorrow.

End to a tough week outside kennels. Pee & poo outside. Work. Play. All very strange. He's not noticed anything missing yet, so no cone'o'shame required!

Bless him - one truly scrummy hound who's obviously appreciating the fantastic upgrade in his young life.

Albert is really a stunning boy will have quite a lot to learn but seems very settled with you. Like the rest of you I can't imagine he'll be there long.

Albert's making very go progress: * no pee/poo inside for several days; * starting to pee on command, or it might be complete coincidence; * sleeps through until around 05:30, when he asks to go out and when out, immediately does a big pee, then a few paces and circles and then a poo; * off lead, his default position is at heal, a little ahead, periodically glancing at me or touching my left hand with his nose (I suspect he's been trained in this regard); * starting to sit, from standing, by himself, usually next to Ringo; * learning to play without actually biting; * zoomies, including with Ringo,,, with due care and consideration of his post-operation recuperation :cough: * remaining generally calm and quiet, but with energy and strength building, wanting to play more often; * relatively good at 'WAIT' for stopping and staying; * doesn't always have to be in the same room and me and sometimes doesn't follow me out of the room; * has found the couch, probably for the first time in his life...
