Well done Fiona and Ray for fostering this sweet faced little lad. And big thanks to Heather and Philip for doing the M25 thing again. Sending loads of Fast Healing Vibes for Freddie.

Gorgeous little boy, could be our Poppy's younger brother..keeping fingers crossed that he's nicer to cats, though!

Poor little chap came struggling out of the kennel block with that whopping great cast on, let him have a wander around just in case he needed to relieve himself and then Philip picked him up to put him on to the back seeat of the estate. I walked around the car, opened the opposite door and had to catch a flying puppy as he tried to hurdle over and out my door (don't worry, he was still secured by a slip lead to Philip) but boy, can he shift. The rest of the journey from Taplow to SM was OK and the traffic was good this time Jenny with us ringing Fiona to say we'd be half an hour early. Pup, now Freddie, was a dream and we got to snuggle all the way. He's a happy chap, bigger than we thought he'd be and more ginger than his pictures. Fiona, we've had a tiny black lurcher who was found in a ditch in Ireland for nearly two months and she still hasn't come to terms with the fact there's a regular supply of food here for her! Erin "goes at" her food as though she's attacking it and then bangs the bowl to pieces to ensure she's got every last crumb off it followed by a survey of the floor!

Freddy had a very good night , we went to bed at about 10.30 and never heard a peep, even though I kept waking up to listen for him. He has had lots of cage rest today. He has been really good, ray said. We are letting him out a wee and food. Then to have a little rest. But trying to get him to rest as much as possible..

I can't believe how good Freddy is being about being in his cage, we feel cruel to him but know that he needs it to help mend his broken leg. We let him out every couple of hours and each time he goes straight for his food. Having just 3 legs( at the moment) doesn't stop him jumping up to see if there is any food in reach on the top. He is very affectionate and loves a cuddle. He has the runs a it but it may be the change of food, I have wormed him and will keep an eye on him. We have a friends dog coming to stay on Saturday for a week, an older dog not pup, then another friends dog on Saturday night, gonna be a house full...

As soon as Freddy is let out he flies for his food. he is such a hungry nose, not aggressive but just hungry. Tonight he decided he wanted pizza, my pizza off my plate. He asks to go out for the toilet and has only ever done one wee indoors the first day we got him. He is affectionate, when no food around. He has a little play but we calm him down so he can't run around. I am sure when his plaster is off he will go loopy.
