She's really beautiful, and so like my Alice, but hopefully she's not going to turn out quite so challenging! It's painful to read about all her problems and sores. I hope they heal speedily. She's certainly in the best place and her life is already so much better, thanks to you guys

Lots of healing vibes for Maisie. She reminds me of the state our Betsy was in when she arrived. Patches of fur missing, under weight, bold tail end and the foulest dog breath ever! Although still a little nervous at times, she is a different dog now. She shines and i know Maisie will do too. ☆

More in a couple of days xx Oh dear...a season. Been there, done that! Hope Socks doesn't get too frustrated! For catching drips indoors, I can recommend little boys pants with a hole cut for the tail (keep the tail hole as small as possible). Think we may have put some folded kitchen paper too. Asda do some cheap ones (5 for £3). Aged 4-5 was perfect for Greta.

We took Maisie back to see Walter today and he was REALLY pleased with her progress. She now weighs 16.9 k; that's 20% of her original weight put on in two weeks! and she certainly looks much better than when we first took her to see him a fortnight ago. He thinks another kilo should see her about right. Her ears are improving, with the antibiotic drops down to every other day. He has given her some different drops for her eyes as they are still very watery and also some more probiotics for her tum. He had a look at the foot I've been a bit concerned about and his initial thoughts are that it may be linked to muscle wastage from where she was so emaciated so will keep an eye on it and if it doesn't improve with light exercise may send her for some physio. We're back in a week's time to check on progress and if he's happy with everything will start her on her vaccinations. Her coming into season was a bit unexpected but we're managing ok. I may well invest in some pants as at the moment I follow her around with towels and other 'padding' to keep her and the house clean. Socks is not being a nuisance in any way, in fact he;s a bit bemused about it all and refuses to sit anywhere where she's just been until I put some of his bedding down. He does let her have a cuddle up on their sofa in the summer house though 'cos he's just that sweet! Spot the the change in this beautiful girl.....

What a difference 2 weeks makes ...i used mikki pants for my girls with their first seasons ....they are great with a tail hole and a place to put panty liners. ..just dont forget to take them off when they go for a pee... i gave mine away years ago but most petshops sell them ....... Thank you again for all your love and care .....she is such a special soul

Oh wow! Surely that is a different dog! She looks amazingly well, and her whole posture is more relaxed and happy. You are doing a terrific job with her Brenda and Steve and Socks is being a real gentleman.
