Pat is definitely interested in this little chap. She is retired but still active. She is around 90% of the time except for a bit of shopping and this and that. Never out for more than a couple of hours. Came to mine for dinner on Mothers day and when the 2 hours was up she was up and off back to Sadie - bless!
Mum has always let her dogs sleep on the bed with her (! i do too when hubby is out lol!) Sadie isnt a bed dog but likes to sleep in the bedroom sometimes so i know she misses that alot.
Just keep us in mind for first refusal on Toby once you've sussed him out please - Mum would love a whippet, she's got alot of love to give and any dog with Mum gets a wonderful life.
Watching with interest. Karen, Pat & Sadie xx

I picked Toby up and he stayed for a couple of days here on his way into foster. He was a very loved boy and apart from his daily walks to play with doggy friends in the park was only used to a quiet home life with his adult owners. He surprised me by accepting being in with my three girls, Arnold the cat and my 2yr old grandson straight away. As you say he loves to have a bit of a cuddle and is not used to being left alone for more than a very short time. He seems to be a very happy boy who is having a lovely time with you. Give him a little cuddle and from me too He is a very handsome boy

Very pleased. Pat will be a wonderful mum for Toby - and I really hope he provides Sadie with a playmate and best friend.

Hello Everyone! That was weird seeing myself on the forum lol! I've just got home from Mums (Pat) and Toby is absolutely fine - what a beautiful special boy! His photos don't do him justice, he's tiny and pretty and just such a happy, waggy little lad We had a long journey home as I somehow managed to go towards the Dartford Tunnel instead of towards home - so busy chatting to Toby & Sadie we didn't realise until we went over a huge bridge!! Lol - had to turn around and come back under the tunnel to go the right way. lol Both dogs were fantastic on the way home - not a whimper or whine - totally settled in the back with Mum. We then hit some bad M25 traffic and had to take a scenic detour! Again they were fab - we almost made it home before Toby was sick ( bless ) - don't blame him tho as it was almost 2 hours to get home! He was fine though and him & Sadie went for a walk as soon as we got back. Despite a shy meeting, after a long journey Sadie finally greeted Toby properly (in her shy way!) and immediately walked side by side with him very happily. The house has been a peaceful haven of sleeping dogs this afternoon, plenty of sniffing each other & gentle wagging tails so all is good. Sadie is watching everything with interest and Toby is playing with each toy in turn & coming for cuddles when not snoozing! Have just left them all to go on their last walk of the day and I'm now home exhausted - have taken loads of photos already - hard not to! Will post up in next couple of days - have sent some to the lovely Casey Thanks so much to all of you - I think they'll all be just fine - he's a total poppet (never fallen in love that quick before!! shh dont tell anyone! ) Karen, Pat & Sadie xxx

Shame about your crap journey home, but I bet you are still smiling. Sounds like Toby and Sadie are settling in nicely together. Looking forward to seeing the pics.
