It's amazing how they come out of their shells when......... they are allowed on the sofa!!!!! 'Tis great to see that Simon & Helen subscribe to the idea that the home is just as much the hounds' as it is theirs.

quote 'Ok, she's only done about 10 poos in 3 1/2 hours. Nerves getting the best of her.'
Wait till she gets here and is faced with our lot! Must get to shop and get lots of kitchen roll/floor cleaner.
Seriously I have had a lovely week or so looking after Jenny's foster pup Paddy and big foster sister Annie, it is going to be so easy/quiet when they return to Jenny I , won't know what to do with myself, so am looking forward to the challenge/enjoyment of a new hound.

Thanks for being ready and willing Elaine. This girl doesn't yet know how lucky she is. Seems quite pleased with how today's turned out!
Hope the poo slows down before she goes into her cage tonight.
Oh well. It's only sleep.

The Night of Poo has ended. I thought the poo had too, at 05:15, but more squirts just now. She seems to be becoming able to have some control. Little to none throughout the night. Poor thing is exhausted. We did get some snoozes. I had to move fast as soon as she stood up! I'm going to phone the kennels this morning to find out if she'd suffered from this with them. She was wormed a week ago. Oh good. She's currently having a sniff around, scavenging I think. Short walk with The Boyz before some breakfast. She needs food and water in her. I'll weigh her later. Not much muscle and much boniness.

Oh dear, sorry about the squits but she does look soooo pleased to be all wrapped up warm and comfy in her duvet. Hope things dry up and slow down a bit today, good on you for taking her in so quickly xx

If she has been wormed in the last two days she will have the squits. Also, put her onto tinned chappie for a few days. It sorts out the squits so well. Change of water and diet is the main reason for the squits, but keep an eye on her temperature. If her nose starts to feel hot for longer than half an hour get her checked out. x

Thanks Jenny.
Worming was over a week ago, when first went into holding kennels. I spoke with them this morning and she'd not had the problem there, but a dog in the next cage had a day or two ago.
We'll get some Chappy. What's in it to do that?
No hot nose. I can confirm that it was very chilly when it found me under the duvet! Just checked again and it's cool 'n' wet. She's bright eyed. Way more so than me this morning.

Chappie original is a bland food. Also if the squirts are quite liquid it might be best to pop her to your vets for a checkup and ask for prokaline to firm up her poo

Vets booked for 17:10 today. Her poo is liquid and it's now been so for 24 hours. She's eating and keeping it down.
