It is a great garden and the fosters are welcome to go there to strtech their legs which is very handy. This isn't her forever home - but the one she has gone to couldn't be bettered - even if the ydon't have a garden like that.

Poor Christine is missing Bambi so much but her back is feeling a bit better. I have a pic of Bambi (possibly now Hatty) with her new mum from ths morning. She has gone to join SLR Millie and her saluki x brother Dylan. Apparently she is settling well and loves the two kids. Here she is with her mum and sister and Dylan, who is being held by Jean (who adopted SLR Sophie - keep up everyone). I will try and get a better pic of her when I next see her.

Thank you all for you good vibes... they seem to be working. I'm able to move much more easily and without excruciating pain so life is definitely much easier. I've been able to take the dogs out yesterday and today which was a relief as they were getting stir crazy. I've been missing Bambi terribly. It was OK when I saw her off but since then it's been really difficult. I spent so much time worrying about her and nursing her back to full health that she got under my skin. But my job is now done and she's going to have the best new life with Bridget and Lee, their kids Phoebe and Jude and the dogs Dylan and Milly. Here's a lovely update from Bridget on Bambi (now Hattie) after her first night: "...she has done a good job of cuddling up to us on the sofa as she did last night!
I've taken some pictures this morning whilst out on a walk. She had the time of her life! Let her off in the secure courts on the common and all 3 dogs had a whale of a time with a ball and a frisbee. Met lots of doggie friends and was as good as gold.
She's done few poos indoors; she can't seem to hold once her body tells her to go, but that'll come with time.
She cried a little when Lee and I went up for a bath and just one whimper when we went to bed. Now she's worn out after play and food. All dogs fast asleep.
Will try and get pics over to you asap. Going out later to buy new collar and lead as children want to choose (with a little supervision as I'm the one that has to take her out every day!).
Overall, settled in really well and adores Phoebe and Jude."and the latest update this morning: "She has got more whingey at night when we first go to bed but settles within about 10 minutes. She's doing a Goldilocks and trying every bed, sofa and seat to see which is just right; as yet Bambi is still doing her research and is inconclusive!
We have changed her name to Hattie, after going through several others. We were unanimous in deciding to change from Bambi, bit cutesie for us - she's already responding to it."
I'm hoping to get to catch up with her on a weekend walk at Tadley Common before too long. Be happy sweetie.... we miss you!

Glad your back is feeling better - and Bambi/Hattie seems to be settling in so well, all due to her fab fostering foundations!

I saw Hattie this morning. She has grown so much - she is all legs. Off lead already, she recalls superbly but loves a game of chase with any dog who is up for it. She has settled really well - lovely to see her so happy and healthy when I think back to what she was like on the day she was signed over.

thanks for the update Philipa. She always looked like she would be a leggy girl. Her recall in the garden was always excellent so I'm not surprised she's good off lead. She's a feisty little girl and I think Alice taught her a lot about chasing and playing, but also didn't let her get away with too much. It's great to hear how well she is doing
