That £10k Pets At Home donation could get us blokes one hell of a men's shed. Just a thought.

We bought a shed for my horsey stuff, rugs etc. It was -6 when we built it together (I helped as for my benefit). Do you think I ever sighted a horse rug in there.....

I've been thinking about whether Bambi needs to go to a home with another dog. Although she's only been with me for just over a week, her character has really come out. She's very happy, cheeky, and friendly. She loves meeting people, is interested in what's happening when Alice barks at people going by and the other dogs run outside to see what's happening, but she she stays back near me rather than wanting to join in. She's much more confident about goading Daisy and Comet to play and regularly jumps and grrrrrs at them but runs away when they tell her off. They're gradually coming round but her best pal is Alice who she watches all the time and snuggles up to whenever she can. Even though Alice plays a bit rough Bambi follows her everywhere and is happy to take the head-chewing and paw-biffing and always goes back for more. Seeing them run round the garden together is a delight. She's now spent some time in a home with other dogs and it's clear that she likes it a lot. Although I think her happy, friendly character means she could possibly cope with being on her own, seeing how she interacts with my 3 and how she looks to them for guidance and comfort, my view is that she would be much happier with a doggie friend to play with and snuggle up to. I took this photo of her last night and I think it sums up why, on balance, I'm going to say she needs to be with another dog, and I'm guessing most of you would agree when you see this.
