Lovely photos again, I really don't think I have seen a hound so bursting with such happiness. I so agree. Wonderful to see. The sheer love and delight Brucie Boy is both showing and receiving. Magic! Well done Janine and family.

well i have caught the clean washing stealer today its bruce i then found ians onesey thrown across the garden today then a few other items went walk about lol !!!! i am wondering if he is as old as we thought or if he is a bit younger now hes getting his confidence and some decent food in him he loves toys and today decided to take lottie for a walk round the house by grabbing her lead like floppy used to then when i took him out he took his own lead in his mouth and held it there all the way up the road people were laughing at him. his tail never stops wagging its on the go all the time. he does get a bit over zelous with hands and fingers when hes playing and does have a tendency to nip you quite hard when he gets excited.

I thought he is younger than he looks (not that I'm looking, obviously, because I'm not ... Sykes, as a younger dog and when excited, would run past me fly-by style and quickly grab me by the shoulder as he buzzed past. The first few times he did it he'd spin me round but I learned to cope with it (eventually). He also still grabs my sleeve and leads me about sometimes but it seems to be triggered by particular things so I know it's coming. I don't think there's any malice to this stuff. It's just sometimes they don't know their own strength. Considering their 'chunkier' physique, they're remarkably athletic and get a bit overcome by themselves occasionally. I also think some suffer such aversive training from their would-be well hard owners that when they realise they're not going to get repressed anymore, it all bubbles over.

I was lead to believe that nipping was a sign that the dog has been removed from a litter to early. They learn from their brothers and sisters how much pressure they can use through play Fighting. They miss this valuable lesson if removed too soon.

When I used to have Sui the staffy staying, she used to put her mouth over the whole of my hand and just hold it there if I drove resting my hand on the gearstick! Frightened the life out of me the first time she did it. Not because she was scary, but it was dark and I had no idea she was going to do it. Janine has been putting some more photos of Bruce on Facebook. Not that I've seen them, because I haven't been looking.

Well this is one lovely fella,it was the first time we'd met him and he just seemed so pleased to meet. This was his first off lead in open ground and he came bounding back every time that he was called. He just loves life even though his poor old body has been hurt so much. His legs are all over the place especially when he's tearing around but they dont appear to be causing him any real trouble (at least not at the moment).I doubt he's as old as first thought,he plays and bounces like a 3yr old Brucie loves people ,dogs, treats and fingers He is just lovely SLR rocks

So beautiful to see such a sad boy with no hope of a future turned into what Bruce is now. Huge hugs Janine and family.
