So pleased to hear that Lottie is proving to be the best source of comfort for you after the sad loss of your much-loved Jake. She can never take his place but she is so different I am sure it will be a joy watching her grow and her character come out as she gradually settles in. I have to admit I fell in love with her straight away and totally understand you feeling the same. Although it was very upsetting to see her go I'm also immensely happy that she has found such a lovely new life with you and Steve. Keep us updated on how she gets on, and lots of photos as well please... we all love photos! Give little Lottie Loo and big doggyhug3_zps55c50d31from me and lots of kisses.

Hello everyone, We can't thank you all enough for your kind comments and for Lottie. We had just collected our dear Jake's ashes and were so sad. When we got home we read the very kind messages left in memory of Jake and as we were about to sign off spotted Lottie. We didn't anticipate adopting another Lurcher so soon, but the minute we saw her we both went quiet and looked at each other, then Steve said shall we ring! Lottie is getting on very well, enjoying her food and walks and as I write she's sound asleep after her walk this morning with her cuddle rug between her front legs and under her chin! Our Christmas has truly come early thanks again to you all. Lindsay and Steve xx Absolutely totally heartwarming. And I can well understand you falling for her....she is gorgeous.

It was lovely to receive an email this morning which had an update on the lovely Lottie. Here's what Lindsay said:
"Thought I'd drop you a line to let you know how Lottie's getting on. Just as you said, she's become very loyal, affectionate and she is bursting with fun! She has quite a few mad moments each day which are really funny to watch and she loves her walks, especially running through water. Her ears are still out of control but there are moments when they do stand to attention ! Lottie also has grown some very impressive whiskers on each side of her mouth which make her look very appealing. She's very bright, quick to learn and not much gets past her, literally - because she is amazingly fast as well as clever. Sometimes, she suddenly out of the blue comes over and rubs her face on you and nibbles your ear, so sweet, then collapses on your lap - she's quite a character, very independent and strong willed so she certainly keeps us on our toes though fortunately she has always come back to us and will wait for us to catch up if she zooms off on a walk. She is high energy and really needs her daily walks as I think without them she'd be quite a handful ! During the day, she generally prefers to stay cuddled up with Steve when he goes to bed after we've taken her out for her morning walk, so outings to work with me are one's where I know she will have play time with other dogs - which she loves! Thanks again for offering Lottie to us, she's brought so much back into our lives, the house just isn't the same without a four legged friend !"
I think Jenny has some photos which hopefully she'll be able to add to the thread soon.
Thanks for keeping us updated on this lovely little girl. She's found the perfect home and you've found the perfect little girl to share your lives with.
