Pepsi is doing well. Settling in now and much less withdrawn. We get wags for walks, dinner, treats and she is getting the routine. She is provisionally booked in for a spay in 2.5 weeks - but once again we have to wait for her phantom pregnancy to end.

We went to Bramshill today and were walking for almost two hours and she coped very well. You barely know she is on the end of the lead - she just ambles along beside you. She has slept all afternoon, apart from when it is time to eat.

What a lovely hound. It sounds as if you have gained her trust and she is really settling in.
It is great to see her mixing with the others in the photos.

Pepsi is settling well. She is due her second vacc this afternoon and (hopefully) will be spayed next week. She is always game to go out but ambles nicely on the lead, never pulling. She absolutely loves the dried lung that one of the dog walkers always has in his pocket and greets other dogs nicely (as long as they don't try and her). Very sweet girl, she will be an easy dog to have around. Her prospective mum called the other day to see how she was doing, she is looking forward to meeting her and if all goes well, Pepsi has a great life to look forward to.

This morning we had an walk in the woods. Zephyr disappeared into the trees and a little while later a deer ran out. Zephyr was several seconds behind so the deer was safe enough - Pepsi watched the deer and then Zephyr and let out a little woof but showed no inclination to join in the chase at all. (Zephyr returned safely a few minutes later, a bit puffed).

Fingers crossed, if phantom pregnancy has dried up, Pepsi will be spayed tomorrow. As this will be the third foster in 6 months to be spayed, I'm getting an old hand at it - but I will still worry all day.
