As Charlie's squits had not stopped, even though he had his appetite back, we got further supplies of the probiotic paste, some tablets, and Digestive food from Graham this morning.
He has a very healthy appetite, so no problem getting the meds into him!
This evening he has still done another loose one, but we hope by Monday everything will have "Firmed Up".
He remains a happy and energetic boy through it all.

Curiously Snoops had a prolonged period of "the squits" at one point. Found ourselves talking to the vet about whether it was sloppier than or about the same as a "Mr Whippy"... (I hasten to add this was their frame of reference not ours). Snoop kindly helped them out by delivering one onto the waiting room floor. We eventually resolved it, but no idea what the root cause was (likely sorted itself out). Hope he firms up soon, but until then... are we talking softer than, firmer than or ... only kidding, no more details required!

Hope Charlie gets over the squits soon. That paste is good stuff.

The same thing happened with Joey. He had Prokolin and a bland diet and it took time but it sorted itself out eventually. Joey remained bright and energetic throughout.

Happy to report that Charlie's digestion is on the mend. I took a sample in to Graham this morning as things were still a bit loose. He tested it for various things, but it was all 'good'(?). Prescribed another pill to really sort out what has been upsetting him, and *fingers crossed* the product had some form this evening. Now just hope he sleeps through so we can!
He really enjoyed his first SLR Walk on Sunday, following the boys around but always checking back on us.
Poser!
After the walk we sat in the pub garden with the other Charlie and his folks.
The two boys got on really well...
Just good fun!

YAY! We all slept through the night. The two boys came downstairs with me and did a long wee in the garden. They then scampered back up to bed. A few minutes later Charlie got up again and looked restless, so I guided him out to the garden where he performed normally!

This little Charlie is an absolute sweetie - and he really got on with the other Charlie. They played right through lunch.

Great news that Charlie's tum and bum are performing normally at last. Long may it continue. I had a feeling that the Charlies would hit it off together.

Well done Charlie, good boy!! I must say he was amazing on the walk...off lead in that exciting environment, where there was lots of adventurous potential mischief to get into, after only 2 weeks with K&M. Didn't he do well?? His little snaggletooth look is very endearing too.

His little snaggletooth look is very endearing too. Exactly what I was thinking. He seems very well socialised, did not lose his wits at a very exciting time and was charming with everybody. Pretty as well. A real gem. He should make a fabulous family dog.

Charlie definitely seems much better. Charging around 'full of the joys' yet not being too pushy with dogs who aren't interested. If anything it's Hugo I have to put on a lead for a few minutes' 'time out' !
Unfortunately he has a small cut in one side pad and limps when he remembers, but it doesn't hold him back and he is not licking it, so for the moment we just have to wait for it to heal.
Now that he has a full-er tummy and plenty of off-lead running, he is much more relaxed between walks.
After this afternoon's walk...
On Friday he goes to see Graham for his second Vacs, then he's "good to go".

Today Charlie went to Uncle Graham for his second Vacs. He wanders into the Vets with a waggy tail to meet people and quite relaxed. He certainly doesn't suffer "white coat syndrome", not that Graham wears one! His cut pad just needs time, but appears to be healing OK. A couple of photos from this morning's playtime after the walk. It's not always Hugo on top!
