He is lovely. Our friends would have loved him but they have two elderly cats.

He is so gorgeous! I must come and find you guys for some more walkies at Whitecliff over the holidays when Tara is off school! I'm positively convinced he would be ok in a cat house, especially under circumstances you describe Keith....if nobody's snapped him up in the next 8weeks, I'm probably going to have to take him on!

Poor Charlie. With all these new girls coming in he is being left out. Charlie is one gorgeous doglet

In the three months Charlie has been with us he has grown, he is now 25 inches tts, and he has grown in confidence a great deal too. Although he obviously enjoys the company of Lorna and Hugo, he has become quite pushy with them too, and it's always "me,me,me too" whenever either of us makes a move or the dogs get up to move around.
We have revised our opinion about him needing another dog, and now feel that he would be quite happy as an only dog as long as he got lots of attention, and lots of exercise. He would like to be a lap dog too, but he's too big and bony for that!
Unfortunately the cat status has not changed. This morning when the dogs were off lead he spotted a cat in an open front garden, who made the mistake of running and the three dogs cornered it. I managed to pull them off enough for the cat to escape, so no damage done, but Charlie was obviously very charged up by the whole incident. I put them all on the lead and came home.
That aside, he remains a very happy youngster, keen to engage with all the dogs he meets, and friendly with all people and children. He is going to make someone very happy.

Even Lorna, our sensible older girl, finds him a convenient head-rest sometimes!
Unlike some Saluki Xs, he is good at recall, and doesn't stray far from his humans. On the big group walk last Sunday he didn't run off into the woods even when others thought they saw something. He stayed quite close to us, even though he was off the lead.
This afternoon Lorna and Hugo took off into the undergrowth, presumably following a fox scent, but Charlie hung back with us. When we eventually found them, Charlie told them off for wandering! On the beach with the dogs he knows he charges around like a mad thing, snarling and trying to look fierce, but on the lead he walks so quietly.
After a good run he is quite happy to crash out in the sunny spot in the lounge:

Exactly Loz. I asked Keith that same question in the walk. Charlie is a smashing little chap.

Today we took Charlie to meet the GIN crowd for their monthly walk... He wore his "INAH" vest in the hope someone would notice him. He walked very well on the lead, as always, and he did get noticed! Fingers crossed he may be going to visit this handsome female before long...... (He's pretending he hasn't noticed her yet!)

Great pics. He is a very handsome dog and always behaves beautifully on the SLR walks. I do not understand why he is still here either.
