What a handsome boy!
I really like the look of him, the more so now I hear his true size.
I must start work persuading Mollie.
Hardly seen any dogs over here, except a couple of hand bag dogs, literally!
Roll on Tuesday afternoon when we get back....

So far so good. Hamish slept quietly all night on a dogbed in my bedroom. He hasn't actually made a sound since he has been here. He has been perfectly clean in the house.....no marking at all, which is pretty amazing for an entire male. And Del has not killed or divorced me yet either so that's a bonus! He has had a few zoomies in the garden (Hamish, not Del) which usually end in Bella and Scruff splatting him on the grass and he lays upside down, very submissively. He hasn't got up on any furniture yet, although I did invite him onto the sofa, but he just looked blank. As I type this one of my trainers has been carried upstairs and put in his bed. I have to pop out for a couple of hours today so I have done a cursory tidy-up and we'll see what it's like when I get home.

Just got home having been out for 2 and a quarter hours. Braced myself as I walked through the door...........nothing! Well, not actually nothing, but a lovely bouncy greeting from all hounds and no mess of any kind. So it looks like Hamish is ok to be left, as long as he has other hounds for company at least.

Hamish and I have been to visit my Neice-in-Law Claire at the farm. They have dogs of all shapes and sizes, cats, rabbits, chickens, geese, cows, horses, etc. I think I can say with confidence that Hamish has ABSOLUTELY NO PREY DRIVE AT ALL. He showed no interest in anything, not even the bunnies, and backed away from the cat who is even younger than he is. This boy just continues to tick all the right boxes. Only one thing.....he sicked his breakfast up in the car on the way over, and again on the way back. However it may be due to nerves about being on his own, cos yesterday when we drove to Manor Farm with all the Pack in the car he wasn't sick at all.
