This is great news. She not only had the benefit of your care and love but now is going to have it forever. I'm really pleased and look forward to meeting up with you again on one of the SLR walks

Not surprised Annette your care and concern for Rosie has been clear right from the start. Enjoy having her in your pack, and don't forget loads of pics for her fans! Xx

You'll be a huge loss to SLR as a fosterer Annette, but I can understand exactly how you must feel about Rosie. I thought the you posted of Rosie, Dillon and Sophie together in Weekly Photo Fun this week was just beautiful and she looked as though she was meant to be a part of your pack.

Congratulations Annette and Neil ... and Dylan, Sophie, Ollie....... and of course Rosie too. I've just caught up on her thread and can see why you've become so attached to this beautiful but very special, sensitive young lady. Hope to meet her on one of the group walks!

Little update on Rosie. The routine devised by Gavin for greeting visitors is bearing fruit and we now have a smiley, happily expectant Rosie whenever someone comes through the front door. Our friends have remarked on her amazing change from a cringing worried dog into an excited welcoming one. I cannot wait for Gavin to finish desensitising her to people moving around in her space. Her recall is still improving and I no longer dread her hunting down any loose dog on the horizon on our walks around Old Sarum. She is also becoming more independent and will regularly take herself off to go and lie on the bed upstairs even though she still likes to know what I am up to. She and Sophie have grown very close and spend a lot of time playing with each other which is lovely for Sophie too, especially now she will not have any more young fosters to enjoy. Rosie' s favourite resting place:

Cheeky: Chilled: Little Rosie is quietly putting down roots. She will happily go upstairs on her own for a snooze on the bed, can walk on a slack lead and has discovered the joys of ball chasing and retrieving. She has not quite lost her distrust of strangers and will not allow anybody we do not know to approach us too close when out walking, but in the house she has learnt to enjoy the company of our friends. Soon she will be able to add the Norfolk beaches and the Scottish mountains to her experiences. Hopefully more and better photos then!

She was such a lucky girl when she landed on your doorstep Annette. So pleased that she is embracing life after her dodgy start.
