Rosie's busy day. Shopping well what do these humans do!!!!! Spent ages lying on the floor in the card shop whilst foster mum chatted - note to foster mum take SLR cards out with you, one lady loved me so much she was counting down the days till she finishes her job and starts a new one where she can have a doggie with her all the time, apparently I have the most melting brown eyes. In the hardware store we met another lady who we had met at Plumpton on the SLR stand so bored I had to lay down again whilst her son fed me treats - its a hard life. Then a cup of coffee to finish. Rosie was fab didn't care about the traffic and although a little nervous sniffed everyone and was very grateful for the treats in fact a real pleasure to take out the only thing she reacted too and it was not bad was to bark at a dog on the other side of the road who ignored her. She has got a great recall and in fact doesn't really like to go off too far away. She has seen the cats and really not that interested and could certainly be trained not to chase cats. So all in all a good day and she did all this without her partner in crime Badger.

Well Rosie has had an extremely busy weekend, she has come away with us in the horse box to our last competition of the season and met so many new friends. She travelled like an old pro, arrived went for a walk nearly took me water skiing as I have a suspicion that this lady has been used for catching fluffy furry things however that said she has not gone after the cats or chickens at home. She has had to meet everyone at the show, then in the evening we all went down the pub where she just laid quietly in the corner you would not have know she was there, the land lady had two spotty dogs and they were all playing at the end of the evening the only dog she growled at was Ruby Do the great dane but then most of the other dogs did too - it might be a size thing!!! She was an absolute pleasure to take away I cannot believe this was the same dog that when she came to me three weeks ago once she was off lead no one could get near her. She still is nervous and I still have to be careful with new ladies that she meets but she has had a few Ahhrrr in the right place and she is beginning to understand that she does not need to guard a bark to warn someone is around but no more. Rosie would love to have another dog around for the company but she is not a dominant girl at all, in fact she is only just learning lurcher play but as soon as it gets a bit rough she is back to me like a shot so nothing too over the top would suit her. A truly lovely little dog.

Rosie update. Today she had her girlie operation the vets said she was extremely good and no problem. Feeling a bit poorly tonight even chicken was hard to eat so a sleepy night tonight. On the whole she is progressing well, she just has to get over the fact that people can come into the house and are no threat to her I can't imagine what has happened to her to make her so scared of people in the house because to take out she is a poppet and no trouble at all in fact much better than the boys who are a nightmare.

it is amazing how these dogs go from feed me wine and grapes to complete madness in 24hrs sadly for Rosie though all the energy has to be contain on lead at the moment as whilst she might feel great we don't want any zoomies which may upset anything internally (but tell that to a lurcher ha ha). She has decided that having had the operation that everyone is a bit scary again she so desperately wants to greet people she goes up with a waggie tail then decides actually I am scared so barks and runs away.
