Had home check today and passed ☺ just need to find the right 'ball of energy' to go with our 'ball of energy' and Bertie seems to fit the bill on paper, as it were but need to know if he is cat friendly or not as we don't want to waste peoples time if he isn't., Brillant news you are ready for a new addition pm mimsmum about bertie

There is a series of kids books about Aliens or Pirates in underpants. Maybe we should write one about lurchers in underpants!!!!!!!

They do look very similar Janine! I think Bertie as naughtier ears though I came home from uni for the weekend on Friday and came back to a very cuddly Bertie. I spent most of the weekend on the sofa with him lying on top of me. I can't stress how much he loves to cuddle! He continues to be a good boy, he's perfect in the house and walks nicely on the lead. He does get excited when seeing other dogs, but we're working on getting him to walk past calmly (with the aid of cheese!). He has been off lead a few times, and although his recall is good, he can get the classic lurcher 'deafness' and run off to see other dogs. So like most new hounds, some more training is needed in that department. I thought I'd put a couple of photos I got of him over the weekend: Chilling with Fionnnbar Having Dad cuddles
He's a very sweet hound, even my dad likes him!!

Can peeps please stop match-making! Especially behind the scenes. I have applications in for Bertie which I have to follow through. It's very difficult to do my job as it is..x

I hope this little boy finds his forever home soon. He is so lovely. I did part of the transport run with him and fell in love with him ... you can tell straightaway what a lovely, happy little man he is.

Good news! Bertie's new family loved him, and he was an angel with the children, so will be going to his new home tomorrow! I'll get Mum to take a picture to show you all
