Just got in having been out for about 3 and a half hours, no mess, no damage, no blood, just a very enthusiastic greeting on my return. She is going to the vet for a check-up today. Hopefully we'll also make it to Manor Farm where I can assess her onlead, and hopefully off too if the enclosed field is not packed!

Vet check went well, Scruffy-girl has some Fuciderm Gel for her little sore bum, but she is not running a temperature so no infection likely. We had a lovely walk through the woods today. We met up with some friends with their woofers and little Scruffy was fine with them, even Olly the spaniel who fell in love with her and followed her everywhere. She only told him off once for getting too frisky and it was a very gentle rebuke, which didn't actually put him off at all. She also loved the river and launched herself straight in for a paddle. Luckily I had her on the long lead a this point as I wasn't really expecting it and almost ended up joining her! She is becoming more chilled out as time goes on and is quite happy to just lay around the house wherever I am, or Del for that matter.

Hope Del soon comes out of the garage Sent from my Kestrel using proboards Apparently while I was out this morning Kodi kept racing down the garden and barking at nothing, so Del shut him in the Dining Room (Kodi's favourite place), but then left his bedroom door open so that Scruffster and Scruffy could join him in bed for a cuddle.

Just got home after being out for 4 hours. Major thunderstorm happening over us right now. Scruffy and Scruffster are both up at the window terrier fashion trying to see who is making all the noise! Not actually upset by it at all, just curious. Think we'll hang on a bit for our afternoon walk.

Just spent the past hour at Manor Farm - firstly an onlead walk around the woods, with me ending up with soaking wet trainers when Scruffy decided she wanted to go in for a swim, followed by a run around in the enclosed field. The field was empty when we arrived, but we were soon joined by a lady with 2 Husky/Malamute type dogs who had a lovely race around with us. After a polite greeting Miss Stroppy found her voice and was racing around yapping at everyone to get them to play - typical Beddie Terriorist! She looked so funny, like a little drowned rat with attitude! I think that she would be ok to let offlead, but she is too easily distracted by other dogs, smells, etc to be able to say that her recall is perfect. I think that she would stay with the pack though and not do a total runner. When she was on lead in the woods a squillaphant ran across the path in front of us and she lunged and barked at it like mad so it is certain that she has a strong prey drive. She is now flopped out quietly next to me as if butter wouldn't melt.
