This was another adoption on the extreme perimeter of our rehoming circles and thankfully all good. Huge thanks to Philippa for going the extra mile. xx

A lovely update from Graham and Penny .................................. Hi Jenny I hope this email finds you well, I’m sorry we haven’t been in touch for a while but thought I would give you a brief update on Scruff. As you know we’ve now had Scruff for 6 ½ months and she has settled very well into her new life here, quicker than we could ever have expected. As she’s settled in we have noticed her becoming more and more vocal to the point that she actually communicates all the time with a woof - let me out, woof - let me in, woof woof - I want dinner (now!!!) and so on, evidently a very intelligent dog and she also does tricks for treats but not because we’ve trained her. Scruff is also a great partner and play friend for Kacey and they get on like a house on fire but she does have a possessive streak with squeaky toys……. she has also “bagged” her own spot on the sofa, which incidentally is exactly where our old Bedlington used to lie and will happily stare you out and whine if you don’t move to let her on! The similarities between our old dog and Scruff are uncanny but she is a real character in her own right and is such a happy dog and we all love her very much. We have booked our summer holiday break in the UK this year and we’re off to Cornwall in July with the dogs along with our friends and their two Labradors so they’ll have a great time chasing around in the sea. I hope you like the pictures attached, she’s very healthy with a great coat that is constantly scruffy so we didn’t have the heart to change her name (which is so apt), these shots were taken in the woods on one of our Sunday walks.

Bless her. She does look very happy and healthy, and from the update she sounds like a very well loved little girl.

She looks great. Her coat looks much thicker. So pleased for this giant character in a little body.
