Don't bother unpacking, I don't think he'll be stopping for long!!! Your Tess looks very like my Greta BTW...pretty girl, less meaty beard though.

There are several applications in for George, but we are not proceeding any further for the moment. Linda kindly came forward to foster him in his time of need, and we will leave him in her capable hands for the time being, and if he is staying, then he has found his home. Usually dogs tell us within 14 days if it is the right home for them, and the resident dogs tell them if they are staying. So, sorry to all the applicants, but just watch this space....

Ha, ha...we normally get told off for teasing about FF so I thought I'd try a different approach. Good to manage expectations though. Having been in this position with Greta and Alfie, it took a bit longer than 14 days, but it was very definitely Alfie who was in the driving seat. I wish Linda luck and hope all goes to plan. Initial signs sound promising.

Greta is very like Tess! Did you have Alfie first or Greta?

Hi Linda, Alfie first, we've had him two years come early October. He's not the easiest of dogs (but not the worst), but after two boy fosters, we knew our last chance would be an older girl. Along came Greta...5-6 YO and we took a chance. She knows how to work the old grumplemoose, and is very respectful/deferential to him although we suspect that with another female she might show more matriarchal dominance. I think it's done him a lot of good to share me...proper mummies boy that he is. I'd love to see more pics of Tess...maybe on another thread so as not to clog up George/Bobby's?

Morning All.
Bobby was good as gold all night, he spent some of it on a dog bed in our room and some down in the sofa ( the other dogs sleep in our room Tess on the end if our bed, Ty on a dog bed) not a murmer from him though.
He was downstairs on the sofa when I got up and ran happily into the garden with Ty for a wee and poo, checking with me in between the two. We are all now back in the bedroom in our respective beds for a nice lie in! Tess never stirs before 8!
Let you know later how walks go!
Linda xx

Well walking isn't an issue for this boy! Obviously he was on lead the whole time but it was a slack lead throughout the walk.
He didn't leave our sides even though the other 2 were off in the field. We met other dogs, large and small and he had a good sniff of the bigger ones and ignored the tiny ones.
We didn't see any squirrels or cats so no idea about those but he was no trouble at all even when Tess had a word with a couple of small dogs, the little moo!

He sounds a lovely little lad. He really is, with a spark of mischeif! He got a ball of wool earlier and brought it out in the garden! It's now more of a tangle of wool with added grass!

He sounds a little superstar. If there's a spark of mischief early doors, then there's probably a bit more to come out. But lovely to hear as it means he's feeling at ease already. Lovely updates Linda

Hard to believe he was found only 9 days ago and took 40 mins to catch! He sounded so sad too because he was having a one dog howling session. Proves there is a special dog in there ?

Pro Boards does some really weird stuff sometimes. It has a mind of its own.
