DeeDee was unsure as to where to settle at about 9pm. Don't think she is used to an evening snuggle time. Alf and Suki on each of their sofas so placed snug duvets/beds in various rooms for DeeDee. She preferred the floor in the hallway.
All three dogs slept well in Henry's room. Out at about 4am but not sure which dog wanted out. Soooo excited to see me this am. Went out for a poo. Ate all her breakfast then came and slept on the bed on the floor in my bedroom whilst the other two had their snuggle. She does not want to get on the beds or sofas.
She did a little poo in Henry's room despite having been out a short while earlier for one. A wee on a duvet in the s/room this am again despite having just been out.
Lots of playing with Suki and Alf this am. She holds her own when the three play.
She might be paler in future photos as she has just had a tee tree bath and adored the cuddles and drying off later. She was very good in the bath.
I think she could quite easily be a cuddle monster given half a chance.

Dare I say the real test comes this PM when a meet is on with Merlin the Menace and Lulu the pest! Could be some photos but doubt they'll be still enough!

She looks heartbreakingly like a paler version of Judy in this shot. Even the texture of her coat is the same!

Is she sort of whippety sized but longer, feathery hair? From the photos she reminds me a bit of some Silken Windhounds we used to see down at Sussex Longdogs.

Could she have Rough Collie (Lassie) in her rather than Border Collie

Could she have Rough Collie (Lassie) in her rather than Border Collie That's a good thought, she does have quite a pointy face, though not as pronounced as Lassie.
She's definitely taller than whippet influence...

That would account for her mane.

DeeDee carries many of the characteristics of the Windhound. Sounds a lovely breed and thank you for the information.
Definitely not house trained but I think that she is getting there.
She has progressed from sleeping on the floor in the hallway to her comfy bed in our bedroom and this morning I found her curled up in one of the others beds. The large plastic oval ones accommodating a duvet and memory foam (was ours until Suki peed on the bed when she returned).
No food aggression at all. Very chilled and relaxed with anyone coming into the house. Rushes out to greet them with the others and I hope won't pick up on their terrible habit of trying to jump up and give kisses.
Fine with children and little dogs but she has been on lead.
Excellent in then car.
Yesterday evening whilst playing in the garden she snarled at Suki as if to say enough is enough I need my space so stop pestering. Suki now a bit wary and does not want to play anymore even though DeeDee has asked her several times but no growling or nastiness of any kind. Now all three curled up in the bedroom. A and S on the bed and D stretched out on her bed on the floor currently dreaming. She roached for about 5 minutes.
She does feel the heat more than the other two so have her bed near ours and closer to the window. No sound or trouble from her at all during the night. They all went out at about 1am but it was Alfie who got me up ... A fox I think in the garden.
Tuesday 9am booked in with Uncle Graham for her op. Loz and Andrew very kindly popped in yesterday with their large crate which is set up ready so that D can get some peace after her op.
I will try and take them to a little enclosed area for a run later today.
We met up with Mollie, Keith, Lorna and Hugo yesterday for another lovely walk. She is so desperate for a play and run around.
She likes to know where the humans are in the house. Will come and say hello then go and flop down somewhere.

Very sweet event just now. A and S on bed singing and howling to one another. D sitting up prettily on the floor next to them singing then she put two feet on the bed, all singing, then gently raised the rest of her body for a sing along and group cuddle. Special moment but had I moved for the camera they would have stopped.
She is a little hoarder and is 'collecting' under the clothes airer outside ... Flower pots but mostly shoes.

I don't suppose Suki has ever been told by Alfie that he doesn't want to play so must have been a bit of a shock. She'll get over it before you know it. First impressions of DeeDee are that she's a very laid back girl - I'd never have guessed she'd only been at Nancy's for such a short time. Playing bitey face so beautifully with Suki too. Oh, and she has the cleanest, whitest teeth I've ever seen!! Glad we are finding uses for the huge crate which was a local bargain from Ebay. Whilst we were still be greeted enthusiastically by Nancy's other two, once she's said a polite 'hello' DeeDee just laid down in the hallway - what's all the fuss about? Outside, in the shade Pretty girl

Just back from a two hour walk/talk at Whitecliff. All dogs flaked in the cool kitchen. D desperate for a good run and not at all bothered by other dogs or the very noisy and aggressive looking play A and S are involved in ... She wants to get stuck in too.
She did some paddling.
Does pull on lead though.
Thanks Jenny for tag, collar, lead.
