Lovely update and photos. You are obviously doing a great job socialising her. All she needs now is her very own permanent slaves!

Just popping in to say that Jasper and I met Daisy today and she was just lovely! Jasper can be a bit of a wimp when it comes to meeting other dogs but he seemed to like Daisy can't believe she's not got a home yet!

Jasper can be a bit of a wimp when it comes to meeting other dogs but he seemed to like Daisy can't believe she's not got a home yet! Think she liked Jasper too, Charlotte! She was tired & overwhelmed by the time you guys met her, but she didn't growl at him like she did some of the other large, black dogs that approached her.

We're having a lovely Indian Summer over here in Essex, so I decided to take the dogs to the beach (about 45 minutes away) on Monday evening.
They had a wonderful time, doing zoomies, paddling, watching (but not chasing!) the horses as they cantered up & down, and we stayed long enough to see the sun go down & the moon come up.
We ended the day with a late dinner overlooking the sea & I treated the girls to sausage & chips. ... A perfect evening all round!
There were lots of sniffs to be had.
Uh-oh, horses heading our way! We know Ruby is ok with horses, but is Daisy going to chase???
They came really close & then cantered back past us a little later.
But Daisy was as good as gold! She was definitely interested, but kept a respectful distance & didn't chase or bark at all.
We really must come here more often.

Very excited to say that Daisy has visitors today.
So fingers crossed please SLuRchers! Cos of all the applicants, these are the best by far. *crosses fingers*
In the meantime, check out these vids I got of the gorgeous girly.
Firstly, she & Ruby enjoying my newly finished garden (complete with artificial grass) ...
And secondly, Daisy in 'I just woke up & want some attention please" mode. ...

Best of luck today for the lovely Daisy, still can't understand why it has taken so long!! The trouble is that people see a gorgeous looking fluffy girlie and that's all they see and despite us saying that she is a work in progress, does need ongoing training, does need to have a lot more socializiation and off lead training, they STILL ONLY SEE THE GOREGOUS DOG in the photo. I have turned down 12 applications for Daisy, and one who was persistent finally realised that she would be too much work for them and could not be happy as an only dog... BELIEVE ME... one applicant almost accused me of not wanting to rehome her and that that was the reason we have so many dogs for so long. DO OTHER RESCUES REALLY PUT THE RETURN FIGURES.... WE DO..... We have had 26 returns in 7 years and at least 8 of them were no fault of their own, either partner splits, allergies etc.. Not because we got it wrong. Dogs linger in kennels in kennel rescues for up to 2 years. The dogs with us are happy, healthy, warm and loved, just residing until the right time.. And if like Scooby it takes nearly 18 months, the Fosters know it is because it's not right, but right is the only good reason to rehome. xx
