I thought you said you were dog-full @mimsmum. I can see some floor in-between to dogs. Come on, take your fair share. Oh,,, and if you get that bloke out of the way, there's even more room to spare... Tut-tut. No commitment.
...
But seriously. I've never seen so many dogs in one kitchen, excluding pre-whelped puppies.

Little Tinker was given the all clear to be able to go off lead tonight so we took her into the field next door for a little recall. Armed with treats as she should be hungry at this time of night... We had a modicum of success on the first recall. But little madam legged it across the field and was gone in a nanno second, necessitating us legging it after her. Luckily caught by some friendly neighbouring people who she ran into. Not before MC had had a heart attack and lost her voice shouting. Needless to say - recall is a work in progress. This little one is fast and focused...

I think Willow will be better rehomed as a second dog. She definitely likes to cosy up with the other dogs. She likes her humans too. I have left her at least 40 minutes every day and she definitely doesn't like being left in a crate. But she has no option with us, she is left to it. All is quiet on my return until the key goes in the door and then she lets you know she is there!

Funny you should say that Christine - Michael has been wearing a blood pressure monitor for a couple of days and was wearing it in that film. It will be interesting to see if it went up even more at that point!!

Flo still runs off out the front door if given the chance but strangely off on a walk her recall good even in our local forest!. Must be the thrill of escaping and being naughty!. If somebody wants brains character and beauty she has the lot.

We may have to rename her Houdini. When we were out for 5 hours yesterday we left her with Auntie Claire over the Road. Little horror got through the gap between their fence and gate. They saw her go and legged it to find her on our front lawn looking at the front door!

Sorry for lack of updates. Willow continues to be an easy foster. We haven't tried her off lead again yet. We need to find a secure area and charge up the paw trax first. She pulls on lead when you first get going but 10 kilos on the end of the lead is nothing. She definitely has a chase instinct. She looks to the distance for any birds of small things that may be there. She has a very lovely disposition with any dogs that she meets, although when playing on lead with other pups just wants to rough play and roll, but no aggression, just the need to play. She has been left for up to an hour a day. She is fine when left with a chew, but immediately creates when the key goes in the door. I have stood outside for a few minutes, and not noise so I know that is just a protest, how very dare you leave me. She sleeps in a bed in the corner of our bedroom, and knows not to get onto the bed unless invited in the mornings. She has her last wee at night at around 10.15 p.m and even if one of the others gets up for a wee at night she can't be bothered and sleeps in til 7 a.m. when Michael makes her go down for a wee. She has no food aggression, and is very polite waiting her turn for her treats. She loves being in a pack and to be honest I think that she would get separation anxiety as an only dog. It is very easy to love this dog, to just let her up onto your lap and let her snuggle in. She loves to tuck her head under your arm or across your neck. But I can't let us get attached to her so not many lap cuddles happening here. We are letting the dogs do the work for us. She eats well, and at the moment is on two meals a day and a snack lunchtime. She is on Wainwrights lamb and rice mixed in with Country Worker and various topping ranging from cheese, beef, lamb mince and pilchards. She hasn't turned her nose up to anything she has been offered. She travels well, coming on the journeys to pick up Bax and back each day. I caught her chewing at my shoes yesterday, nipped that one in the bud, she tried to chew the office sofa which Breebee had kindly started for me in the past!! Nipped that in the bud. My neighbour Auntie Claire had her yesterday for an hour and said that she jumped up onto the counter top!! She hasn't tried that here. She has a very silly bark!! I mean silly!! Sounds like it is not fully developed. But she rarely barks. Only joins in with the others. She loves to play with toys and balls in particular. Bringing it back to you. We still have not tested her with small children, as we have no small children around us anymore. But she loves people. I do think that any dog she went to live with would need to be able to share their bed with her, as she likes to cuddle up if allowed. Here's a video of her playing with Annie just now.
