She likes to nosey up the worktops, but isn't a jumper. She went to Mim's bed on command whilst we ate dinner. No problems at all. Last night she ran upstairs with the others after last night wees and went straight onto Mollie's bed. Mollie asked if she could stay with her and she curled up so small. At around 2 a.m. she wanted a wee, and down she went for a poo and wee. Up to ours and slept in the corner of our room in the office bed. Everyone slept until the alarm went off at 6.15 a.m. Someone then immediately jumped up onto the bed and curled up so small. If you let her she would wrap you round her little finger. She is painfully thin still so we are going for four small meals a day. She had scrambled egg an some of her complete at 6.30 a.m. and I will feed her at 9 with the others. So far she has been following me everywhere, but I don't make a fuss of her. She has now just taken herself off to Mim's bed in the kitchen so she is learning to be more secure. She will be going over to Auntie Clare this afternoon for a few hours whilst we do a transport run. More photos to follow later. p.s. We have found a little Princess fleece donated by Sioux, and it is a little big but she looks very special in it.

She spent an hour in one of our larger crates today whilst I had to pop out this morning. Dental chew and no sound when I got back. We then had to do a 5 hour transport run so she went over to Auntie Claire, and she and the cat got on well again. So she is definitely accepting of a cat. She came home and ate her fourth dinner!! Piglet. I don't know where she is at the mo. She took herself off back into the crate earlier as all the sofas were full. She has a play with every dog that will play with her. Cocoa the puppy springer is her favourite at the moment. She's off to see Anil the Vet tomorrow evening to see if we can get vaxes started and possibly neutering, but I think she may be a little younger than we all thought.

she's getting the best start in her journey to a new and happy life. Seeing the Forum postings about puppies under threat of PTS is so distressing but at least we get to see these much happier stories as well. Well done Jenny... as always!

Hi there I was wondering if Willow was still looking for her forever home? We lost our beloved Saluki x Greyhound Lurcher, Jackson, on the last Xmas Eve. We are lucky to have spent almost 13 years with him. He left behind his best friend Jasper who is a whippet x lurcher. Jasper needs a new friend and we need a new pooch to love and spoil! Willow looks like a perfect lurcher for our family. We have 2 boys (3 and 6 years) who are brilliant with dogs....so we are looking for a lurcher who would be happy with young children. We are hoping we can rescue a young lurcher from SLR. X

Hi, can you email me. I would re-iterate, that we are not looking to rehome Willow with young children I'm afraid, due to her start with children. But we do have more robust types coming in. Willow is more like an Italian Greyhound in her makeup and bone structure, very delicate.

Little Willo went for a checkup with Anil tonight. She is around 6 months old and weighed in at 10.3 kilos. Well done Kate for getting some weight on her. She is now on 4 meals a day and Anil is happy to neuter her on Friday. She had her first vax and was such a good girlie. She is so quiet. I am not used to quiet dogs! She has greeted every dog that she has met with a gentle ambience. She doesn't wag her tail at them, but does when Michael comes homes.
