Little Sam was found abandoned. He has been in holding kennels for over a week and not doing well in kennels. We were asked to bring him out as he would benefit from a home environment. Lovely Romi has gone over to pick him up and hold him overnight for onward transport. Very wriggley waggy tailed and friendly. He will be fostered in Essex.

Great lookin' dude. 100% black? Romi - you need more mats in the kitchen... Romi #2 - I've your crate, but also have a large (smaller than when started) whisky in hand, so hope you don't need it tonight!

Simon.......Fear not....I have more mats in the other rooms. No hurry for the crate....I have others. Sam doesn't need one anyway - he is quite happy just pottering about with the pack. Enjoy your whisky.

Huge thanks Ro. Just done the homecheck and little Sam will be winging his way to sunny Essex tomorrow. A lovely home. Now all he has to do is be respectful of the cats. I have every confidence in his fosters who are hoping that it will be permanent. A lovely home awaits you little man and a lovely huge garden to run around in and right in the countryside. What more could you want? xxxx

Sam is chiiling out just fine here with my lot. He has been told off a couple of times....Bella didn't like him interfering with her nether regions and Nero didn't want to play with him (Grumpy Git) but he doesn't take it to heart and is a happy little chappie. Hope he settles quietly later and that we all get some sleep.....this is a busy weekend.

Lovely photos Romi! Well done for getting Sam out of kennels, he looks as if he has settled very quickly with your pack. Hopefully you will all have a good night before he makes the journey to his new foster home in Essex tomorrow. Onwards and upwards little Sam!

Well done Ro, managed to squeeze a little 'un in for a wee while. He looks quite sad/unsure at the moment, can't wait to see that expression change once her realises he's safe.

Good luck in your possible forever home Sam. Hope you get a peaceful night Ro. Must admit I thought you didn't need carpets - plenty of furry mats around!!!

Lovely little Sam spent a quiet night with us - choosing to sleep in a dogbed on the bedroom floor. After breakfast we had a quick walk in Manor Farm (on lead) then went up to the show at Newbury. He was very wiggly and excited to meet so many other dogs, and went off happily into Christine's care for the next leg of his journey. I'm sure she'll be along to update this thread soon.

Huge thanks to all for the transport run. Penny arrived with me just after 4 p.m. One tired little poppet. Careful introductions to the little one Sofi on the front lawn and he had a friend to go into the house with. Our pack are used to many different dogs coming in so they never really mind an extra one. Curious with the neighbours cats, but that's all Meeting the Symmons pack Good job he had a home to go too. I am in love. xx New mummy Pam is doing something nice. And he sat to command. And ate it all up quickly. And just in case. An at home photo. Don't go chasing the cats little Sam and you will have such a good home. Little Sam didn't even wince when he had his microchip, but loved the cheese!
