Yesterday, great weather and we took the dogs up to Arreton Downs to meet up with Janine and Grace. They all had a great run around although Shaun was kept on his lead as we are not sure about his recall. There are some great pics on General chat under 'When Grace met Shaun'. Pics done by Janine as with 4 dogs no hands free to take pics ourselves. Shaun is a real sweetie and we are amazed how well he has adjusted. Carol say he is like the best surprise that comes out of a Christmas Cracker.

Another good walk yesterday around the fields at Carisbrooke. Shaun loves his walks and is eager to get his collar and lead on. He travels well in the car and likes looking out the window to see where he is going. On the way back though he seems happy to lay down and then crashes out at home for a snooze. fdHe enjoys his food and never attempts to annoy us whilst we are eating. He really is the sweetest boy and someone will be very lucky to have this chap. He loves to be with you and will cuddle up to you although he is equally happy to sleep in his bed or on the sofa. Our three dogs and Shaun are now really settled and they play well together in the garden. This little chap deserves his forever sofa and will give you his unconditional love in return.

Shaun has been with us now for two weeks - where has the time gone. He has really settled in now and is used to our schedule with our dogs. He is always first at the door ready for his collar and lead for a walk and enjoys being out. We haven't as yet let him run with our dogs as we are sill not sure if he will stay with our three. We shall test him soon in the field that we can use where he cannot get out just to test his recall. The dogs are all getting along fine and he has taken to having a snooze with one or other of the dogs with no problems. He remains the sweet little chap he is and seems to trust us now. He is not too sure of loud noises or the hoover as he runs behind the sofa. A couple of nights ago we had some torrential rain for about half and hour and the noise on the windows upset him and he started to shake a bit and didn't know where to hide. We got him to sit quietly with us and he soon calmed down. He is still sleeping on our bed although Leo has decided to do this as well so Marty and Carol are left hanging on the edges . Think we shall survive though. A good walk today at Arreton Downs, glorious weather. He loves to play in the garden and chasing the pigeons off the fence. He is a delight and we have really taken to him - oh dear . A couple of pics for you to see.

Another update on the cutie Shaun. He continues to be the characterful boy he is. He loves life and takes everything in his stride. We have had no problems between him and our three and they all like to play together in the garden. Not sure if he has ever played with a ball or toys as he seemed confused as to what to do with them, but he is learning that it is fun. He is also getting better at answering to his name and will sit after a couple of tries. We have discovered he doesn't like loud noises e.g. hoover, washing machine etc or raised voices (not ours) and he will hide behind the chair. He loves his walks and today will be a big day for us and Shaun as we are meeting Janine on Brading Downs later where Janine has a paw tracker collar that he will wear when we let him off for the first time. . The downs are enclosed so he cannot get out, but we feel he will stay with the pack as we check his recall, specially as we will have sausages and ham . Shaun would like a forever home with another dog as a companion, preferably not a youngster, someone around most of the time and someone to make a fuss of him. Pics to follow plus some more later after our walk this afternoon.

I want Shaun!!! ... but I can't, unfortunately. Three dogs with only 2 arms is as much as I can cope with! He is such a lovely little man. It sounds like he's going to have a fun time today. Looking forward to hearing (and seeing) how he got on
