Coming in as I type. A puppy semi rough coat girlie from holding kennels in Gloucestershire. With huge thanks to Ian and his wife for offering to transport and meet up with Elaine who is going to foster her in Hertfordshire. As I said - more to follow.

Well, we have just come back from meeting the lovely Meggie at Elaine and Bruces. Approximately 4-5 months old and so laid back! She is only 15" to the shoulder at the moment. A mix of lurcher and terrier. I took some photos but my dinner beckons at the moment. She is gorgeous, so well rounded and has only had one mishap indoors. p.s. Likes a finger or two of red wine too!!

Oooo what a good little girl we have here - well so far anyway. We have renamed Courtney and her new name is Meggie. I would imagine she is approx 5 months old and 14-15 inches at the shoulder. I will weigh her later. She was very good on the car journey, although quite sick, but soon bounced back once we arrived home. As was expected Cocoa took an instant dislike and we had to muzzle her for the first couple of hours, but gradually she was able to contain her over the top excitement and settled down happily with little Meggie. She slept in the dogs room on her own, as although Pinky usually sleeps in there she did not want to join Meggie last night. We left the door of the crate open and there were a couple of other beds she could choose from. She slept soundly all night and after she had been outside early this morning to go to the toilet she joined the others on our bed, where after a few mins she just laid with the others as if she had been doing it all her life. We have just got back in after we were all outside for nearly 1.5 hours, just walking and playing. I kept Meggie on a long lead when we were in the paddock as the more friendly Cocoa and Pinky get with Meggie the more they will start playing a little too rough for one so little. So I will introduce the rough play very slowly. She was off lead in the smaller areas and always came to her name. A few photos: and finally crashing out a short while ago:

Hi Elaine very pleased Meggie has settled. She is a fabulous little pup and we agree with you that she will quickly find her forever home. The holding kennels confirm she was one of three pups from a traveller site near Banbury..Meggie was caught but the other two escaped Suspect that Meggie has definitely got the best deal. Best of luck and we will follow her with interest. Best regards Iain and Amanda

Yep, bless her. But not very naughty - incredibly calm for a pup!

It would be brilliant if she matured into a Scruff lookie likey, although I think Meggie's tail is smaller and short haired ATM but time will tell.
Meggie is bring a pain at the moment. This is the time of day that my four relax and watch the tv with is. Meggie has other ideas. She has chosen Cocoa as her play mate tonight. Cocoa is being very tolerant but really just wants to relax. It is very early days and Meggie is a very bright little pup so I am sure she will learn our routine very quickly.

The evenings, when us hoomans want to chill and watch tv are a pups playtime. Every evening from 7 - 9 Lottie would want to play tug of war, she is only just starting to grow out of it. So good luck with the quiet time

What a lovely cheeky looking little pup . I do hope you get 'quiet times'. They tend to be few and far between with the youngsters who have been with us so far. Luckily for Sophie, Dylan has started playing with Joey big time as well so they take it in turn to keep him amused. I just keep out of the way!
