Jet is 25" to the shoulder Around a year old. Jet is a lively and playful lad but is more reserved, until he gets to know you. He can be mentally sensitive/submissive and easily spooked in new situations. He has shown some growly behaviour over food with the dog in the kennel next door (this could obviously be as food has been a bit scarce for him) but still worth mentioning I thought. With us he is happy, squirmy and very pleased to have contact and exercise. He walks fairly well on the lead but would benefit from some training). Very sweet boy who would be great fun to own and train. Since that email arrived I have spoken with the kennels and he is getting more confident and not growling at dogs when he is eating. He is good out on walks and is starting to wag his tail. An update from the kennels. The story of Jet. Jet came to us after he was left in a house when the owners moved out. Neighbours took in him and his Chihuahua companion but decided they couldn't keep a 'big' dog so called us as they thought Jet was a Greyhound. Unfortunately before we got to meet him Jet got away and had been loose for nearly 2 weeks when we managed to catch him. Jet is an affectionate lad, very friendly and a little submissive. He was quite hand-shy when he came to us but has quickly regained his confidence. He gets on well with the other dogs after some initial growly behaviour over food but having had a full tummy for a few weeks, food is now not so important to him. He loves his walks but will need further lead training, he is a really quick learner though and just wants to be with you. We would really love him to find a home, he is not doing well in kennels and spends most of his time watching the world go by.

The main issues are that he's not yet neutered and it's late tonight, so we can't get our head's around it right now. Tomorrow, we'll see what we can do.

Do we know if he is ok with young children, e.g crying babies and 4 year olds running around ?

Sorted. He will be going down to Annette in Hampshire, and Simon is on standby if Ringo and he get on after the op. x
