We have just had a lovely update from Sue and Mark...... and some piccies..... ;D All, ok, she’s settled in well, has taken the lead from the others in terms of what happens when, they know when sue or I get up from the settee at a certain time in the evening that it means bed for them, so they all get up and rush to the back door – well, the others rush, Willow doesn’t do too much rushing. She’s off lead now, has been for some days, well behaved so far – doesn’t investigate too far away – although when I walked them on Sunday she decided along with Leika to check out a family that I’d gone into another field to avoid – but a whistle and a call brought them back. They have some good play at home, Daisy generally leads the chase game, Willow does her best to keep up, but Daisy has the height advantage when it comes to diving through the shrub borders as well as being able to turn more quickly. She sometimes joins in the all in wrestling, but more often than not decides to wait on t he fringe and bark. We’re really pleased to have her and to be able to give her a good home and i think she’s happy here with her new surroundings and new playmates….. .................................. I did ask if they could adopt me and get me away from all this....... they refused........... Just perfect....

A lovely update from Sue and Mark. Willow is just stunning Well what to tell you? ? The old boy Jake is still with us – but leaves the playing to the other 4, his legs get a bit stiff now. Daisy and Leika get on fine with Willow and the ‘pup’ who we called Diggy. It’s good to see that they seem to take turns in instigating the chasing around, although most times it does seem to involve chasing Daisy which she loves. Her and Willow seem to have bonded a bit more in the last month or 2. Willow, well I hear her distinctive bark through the day when she’s playing with the others, a deep slow woooooooooooof, Diggy barks at the wind although we are working on toning that down it’s a fine line as we like outsiders to think that they;’re a fierce bunch – our mobile burglar alarm, although I suspect that they’d all roll over and expect their tums to be tickled if we did get an unwelcome visit!!! Willow is quite funny, she is quite bossy, when out on walks if any of the others goes awol for too long she tells them off when they rejoin! Funny J But she seems wary of strange dogs when out and about, earlier this week I had done a wee jog with her and was walking back through some fields and she saw 2 collie type dogs, she did a detour into the field to walk around them – with her tail between her legs, so bit of a old bully with more bark than substance…….she likes her cuddles but is a fidget, doesn’t like to be told where to lie down and often declines the comfy beds with the others in the lounge of an evening to lie by herself in another room. Diggy, well we were convinced that he was going to end up a bit ‘Shepderdy’ – he had that kind of face + coloured coat, seems that someone forgot to give him the right length legs……although I think he has probably grown a wee bit more recently. Good character, likes to come and say hello and get his cuddles/stroke when myself or the others go back indoors. My business partner bought a choc Labrador pup back in sept/Oct and she comes over a few times a week and plays with ours, obviously we have to hide anything that looks remotely like food and even then she licks our dogs bowls clean – urrgggh that breed is right up there on my ‘I really don’t like’ list! But she plays well with ours and possibly she won’t become a typical fat dog as she must exercise more than any other lab! We took them all for a slightly longer second walk a few days ago, I guess we must have covered 5-6 miles, didn’t get a peep out of any of ours that evening, just contented snores. And some new photos of Willow and Co.
